Food and drinks were great, and the service was prompt. The staff wasn't overly friendly, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Overall a beautiful spot

The food was good. It was quite busy because it was the last weekend in October..

Amazing cocktail menu. Food is generally very good with a lotbof variety to choose from. Excellent vibe, but pretty low lights

What a great pre concert dinner! Our first SOMA visit - won't be our last! Let me start by saying Victoria our server was fabulous - funny, easy, timely....great sense of humor. Martinis were nicely chilled. Calamari was the best we've ever had- marinara on the bottom of the serving platter, calamari tentacles and rings perfectly fried & tossed with arugula then plated....so yummy! We shared a tasty eggplant and basil pizza - awesome crispy crust! Next time will save room for dessert!

SOMA has been around for a long time, and hadn't been there in a few years. The food used to be good, but not outstanding, whereas this time around my meal was really extraordinary.
The PEI mussels where super fresh, not overcooked so that they retained their delicious ocean flavor.
The swordfish was as fresh as it can be, also was perfectly cooked with a tangy light lemony sauce with little chunks of bacon and delicious gnocchi on the side -- absolutely delicious. My Manhattan was made by someone who knows their stuff, as it was perfectly balanced and nicely presented.
Another plus is the wine list: there are plenty of options of decent bottles around $40, which, to me, makes a huge difference as you can really enjoy a great meal with good drinks without spending a fortune.

Update to a very old review. I still go. Great cocktails, good appetizers, and good main dishes. Good service. Like the atmosphere. This place fills, so I recommend reservations.

Good service. All mixed drinks on the menu are $13. Had the crab cake appetizer. It was very salty.
