I was there tonight for the first time, we love sushi. I had read the reviews before we went and was hopeful that they were true. The atmosphere was wonderful, the food was outstanding and the service was very attentive. I am GF and they have a GF menu (fabulous)! We had the himachi shoulder that was outstanding, a rainbow roll, lemon salmon, tuna roll and edamame. Generous portions and reasonable priced. We will be going back soon to try other options on the menu.

Dietary restrictions: They have a gluten free menu.

This place has excellent service and food. I’m vegetarian and I love that this place pays as much attention to the quality of their veggies as the quality of their fish. Love their veggie rolls, perfect every time.

I doordashed and the fish still had some skin left on it. They also hardly gave me any ginger. I always get the same rolls from other sushi places and this place just tastes off. As in not good. Not sure why this place has 4.9 stars I’m very disappointed

Came from out of town and saw the reviews for Taku sushi so decided to give it a try.I was pleasantly suprised, honestly thought it was better than a lot of the sushi i have back at home! Service was outstanding as well, Julie made sure our visit was very enjoyable. All our food came quickly and well prepared. Would definitely recommend to any of my friends going to the area, as well as would come back if im ever in the area again!

Came across Taku while exploring Salem with an out of state friend. Delighted by the quality, taste, and creativity of the menu. Our server Julie was attentive and made excellent suggestions, particularly the chili garlic hamachi and the Suzuki carpaccio. The chili garlic wasn't too spicy but overflowed with flavor while still showalcasing the freshness of the fish, and the truffle on the Suzuki carpaccio was an enticing complement to the dish. The salmon on fire is theatrical, and the raspberry sauce it comes with adds a wonderful, light, sharp contrast to the smokiness and fattiness of the salmon. Julie also made great suggestions for pairing sake with our dishes. Overall, best sushi I'd had in Massachusetts and a reasonable fraction of the cost of some other places

Best sushi in Beverly. Foods excellent. If you're not sure what to get, sit at the bar with Julie, she won't steer you wrong. Wonderful person and she makes a great mai tai
. Love the salmon on fire app.

On our anniversary, my partner and I discovered this cozy haven, a restaurant that transcends mere dining and becomes an unforgettable experience.

The evening began with the Kinoko mushroom soup, a soul-soothing bowl of umami perfection. Its velvety texture and earthy aroma set the tone for the meal. The Kaibashira scallops followed, each seared to delicate perfection. Their tender sweetness was complemented by a subtle glaze that danced on the palate.

The Chef's set of nigiri was a masterpiece of precision and artistry, featuring exquisitely fresh fish atop perfectly seasoned rice. Each piece was a testament to the chef's dedication to his craft. The grilled wagyu beef was nothing short of a revelation for the finale. Juicy, tender, and cooked to perfection, it offered a rich, melt-in-your-mouth indulgence that crowned our culinary journey.

Exceptional Gabrielle led impeccable service. Her warmth and attentiveness elevated the evening, ensuring every detail was meticulously attended to. The restaurant's ambiance, with its understated elegance and serene charm, provided the perfect backdrop for our celebration.

This gem on the North Shore is not merely a restaurant but an embodiment of Japanese culinary artistry. Whether celebrating a special occasion or seeking a gastronomic escape, this establishment promises an experience that lingers in memory long after the meal is over.

The sushi was extremely fresh and very flavorful. I eat a lot of sushi and have fairly high, but not ridiculous, expectations. Taku did not disappoint. I would happily eat there again and would have no problems bringing friends or recommending it.

Wheelchair accessibility: It is accessible.
