The service was VERY slow and we were not checked up on until the time came for the check. We went on a very quiet Sunday night with only two other families dining in. The server asked us if we have been before and we told him it was our first time. We were not informed that it cost money to play the games there. We were not asked how anything was or given refills on our water or “bottomless” popcorn. I also informed the server I was vegan since the menu says even if an item is listed vegan that the sauces include may not be, to which he didn’t respond or give feedback. We also never received our dessert order but at that point service was taking so long we didn’t want to ask again and wait more. To top it off we saw two mice… food was good but would not dine in again.

Fun board game restaurant with great selection. My favorite part is that the floor of the restaurant is separate from the bar and also has smaller rooms, so it doesn't get too loud even though lots of people are playing games.

This place was incredible. A board game restaurant that was so amazing. The food was delicious, the service was quick and personable and if you want, you can play games while visiting here. My husband and I found it on a whim headed toward Salem on our vacation and I’m so glad we did! Such an amazing experience!

This place has the sweetest, most welcoming atmosphere. It’s mostly a board-gaming crew (nowhere better to play!) but it’s a wonderful meal and atmosphere for everyone.

My kiddo and I happily passed three hours playing board games and munching tasty food at The Castle. They have a great selection of games for kids and a wide all-day menu. We felt very welcome. Outdoor seating looks excellent too!

Parking: We parked around the square right outside ($1/hour).

Kid-friendliness: Very kid-friendly.

Stopped in for some drinks and a couple of games. Very friendly staff and excellent selection of games. I was pleasantly surprised by the wide range of games, from heavy euros to light 2-player games. If we lived in the area, we would probably be there several times a month. Great place!

This place has been a part of the culture of Downtown Beverly for many years now. And has clearly cemented itself as a piece of the town.

I have been going here on and off for years but over the past nine months I have been coming in (almost) every single week for my DnD sessions.

The atmosphere here is wonderful and that is only boosted by the absolutely fantastic wait staff (specifically Hannah and Mary, who have been taking care of us these past bunch of months). They clearly care about the place running well and the love that is put into that work has not gone unnoticed.

Please keep up the great work and thank you guys!
