Absolutely loved the food which was cooked perfectly and plated beautifully. The menu selection was great as were the prices. Service was also good. I was a little disappointed at the loud atmosphere and small space, which was not what I was expecting and it was difficult to find parking, some of our party had a 15 minute walk to the restaurant.

The food and atmosphere were great! The seating was very tight since it's a small place. The table was almost pushed against my chest but the food and service were outstanding.
We enjoyed a prix fixe menu for Thanksgiving. The food was wonderful and the restaurant is charming. It was pricey but worth it for a nice holiday meal.
I can't judge the restaurant based on the Thanksgiving meal. Think high-school cafeteria turkey dinner. Small portions. Tasteless. Service was non-existent. Which made the mandatory gratuity seem more like gratuitous. First and last time that I'll spend Thanksgiving dinner at a restaurant.
Bartender was attentive and very pleasant to talk to at the bar. The manager was also very friendly and welcoming to me.
Lovely neighborhood gem. Cozy atmosphere -- holiday decor was wonderful! Food did not disappoint. Staff clearly cares about their customers. What a treat!
Cozy neighborhood restaurant away from the shopping street nearby. As classy as the neighborhood itself.

Went there last night for my birthday dinner and I loved it. I wish I got my waiter's name because he literally is the best waiter I've had in I can't even remember how long and I go out to eat a lot. The manager was a doll. She was so welcoming. The food was flavorful, creative, and plentiful. I loved it. And I can't wait to go back.

This has been a favorite for many years. When we were engaged to be married, we used to come here all the time and sit at the window and watch the snow. The bartenders and the servers in the bar area would recommend some lovely wine, and we would have a meal and have a fabulous intimate time. We have probably been here 40 or 50 times.
But, on our recent trip, something was different. We made a reservation for their special night where you have a couple of glasses of wine and a pre-fixe menu. And the service just was not what it used to be. We sat outside. I had to get my own fork. At some point I asked for a knife and then we had to chase down the server. They never really came back to ask how we were or if we wanted anything else. The server was just sort of nonexistent. The other thing that we noticed outside was a strong smell of mothballs. Since it’s the season when people are starting to take their winter clothes out of storage, we assumed it was the couple sitting next to us. But it could’ve been the holiday decor that was lining the outside. We just could not shake the smell.
We each had the salad and the soup. They were both very good. And then one of us had sausage, and it was good as well. Again, I think the thing that was really off was that the server was just absent. We also sat outside for the first time, and we really do prefer the intimacy of being inside.
In addition, it also felt that the host at the door was not pleasant. We dropped by earlier that week, and, even though they said they were open..they were not. This surprised us. But they said depending on who was there that they were just closing early. Which was a little sad, as we just wanted a cocktail And we walked all the way there. I totally understand closing early, but they acted really put out that we even came to the restaurant. If you’re looking forward to going home, that’s great, but apologize and say that you’re closing early and ask us to please come back the next night.
So I think all of my complaints really have to do with the service and the way we were met by the host and our lack of service during the dinner.

Friendly staff, comfortable ambiance, and delicious food. Love the location off the beaten path in Beacon Hill - an upscale tavern that won’t break the bank.

My friend and I happened upon this place on our first night in Boston. We’re so glad we did! We were welcomed warmly and seated right away. Our server was engaging and helpful. We got a bottle of wine which was excellent. I had a very good burger, my friend loved the pumpkin ravioli. I wish I lived in Boston so that I could come here more often!

I took part in Wine Wednesday! It was a wonderful experience enjoying a special course menu paired with a bottle of wine — all offered as a set every Wednesday. And having it at an upscale restaurant in Beacon Hill made it even more memorable.

We had such a lovely dinner at 75 Chestnut! We had reservations and were seated right away. Our meals were delicious, perfectly prepared, and beautifully presented. Dessert was a special treat — half-price on Tuesday! Wonderful experience from start to finish. We definitely recommend stopping by when you're in Beacon Hill.

Food was overpriced. Expected delicious food and exceptional service and we were highly disappointed. The service was terrible. The tables next to us got offered bread service as well as was checked upon multiple times while we just sat there. We got charged for something we didn't order nor touched when it was brought to our table. Got told it was our fault when we explained there was a mix up. Thank goodness we are visitors because we will not be back.
Walked up around 1130 on a Sat and it was packed. There had seating outside luckily. Very good brunch menu. Cocktails were excellent.
