Fantastic Eclair!! Very helpful and cheerful owners! Absolutely will be back before we head home! It should be on your MUST VISIT list of Boston!

We recently hosted a private party in East Boston for our daughter and son-in-law, who love cannoli's! I purchased three dozen, large cannoli's from A & L Bakery for the event. We ordered a variety of plain and chocolate dipped, and they provided chocolate chips, pistachios, or almonds for our guests to dip their cannoli's in. They were as good or better than anything you can get in the North End. The staff at the bakery called me a couple of days before the event to confirm that we did want the nuts separate for allergy concerns with our guests. I strongly recommend this bakery:) They are awesome!

Popped in to try their cannoli which in my opinion is just as good if not better than anything in the North End. The staff was incredibly welcoming and nice. Not sure if its run by a family but the atmosphere just felt like a small, sweet family run bakery. Loved my experience here for the few minutes I was there

A&L Bakery and Cafe (A family owned and run business) have been a staple in the East Boston Community for many years. As a Restaurant owner I have been ordering my bread from A&L for over 20 years. The Best bread and pastry around. The new atmosphere and the Amazing staff make you want to stay and treat yourself to something delicious from the huge selection of homemade treats. Go to A&L Bakery and Cafe today.

Genuine and authentic family little cafe! I had known the place 30 years earlier and, for better or worse, the place is unchanged. Rita who founded the place with her husband, still works behind the counter while her son or son-in-law bakes hearty calzones. There is a large selection of Italian style cookies, some pastries, and coffee. Unlike modern high-tech cafes where everybody is isolated on their keyboards, this place is genuinely an authentic family cafe / diner.
Grazie tanto ed a presto 🙏

An unassuming gem in East Boston! I was looking for some pastries to bring to brunch with friends when I stumbled onto A&L. My partner and I were greeted with so much energy from the bakers. We got four different pastries – cinnamon rolls, twists, cannoli and biscotti –, all soo delicious. Absolutely no crumbs left behind! The place has plenty of seating and so welcoming. Will definitely be coming back!
