I cannot say enough good things about my experience. We had reservations and had to wait around 10 minutes which is fine. Once we were seated we were greeted by our waiter. He was phenomenal. I did not catch his name but I wish I did. He was fast, attentive and friendly. My fiancé and I had an amazing time with some amazing food. My bone in ribeye was cooked perfectly. I cannot say enough good things about our night at Abe & Louie's. We're only in Boston for a few days but this definitely made my trip worth it. I will definitely come back next time I'm in town.
Food was very good. At times, the waiter seemed to forget about us. Was more attentive to a larger party that was drinking during lunch than our group of three. Took forever to place our food order. Waiter had zero personality unfortunately. Could have place our order digitally and had a better experience. Restaurant was quite loud making a business discussion difficult. Overall a bit disappointed as this is my go to for a great experience. Hopefully just a hiccup.
Steak was great. Very noisy- could not hear what my guest was saying. Service was efficient
Went there expecting an amazing dinner and they delivered perfectly. Great service where they're attentive without hovering or being pushy and offering good recommendations. Steaks cooked and prepared perfectly. Would definitely go again.
Classy Gatsby-era restaurant with a modern feel. Classic steakhouse menu with good cocktails and great service. Mac-n-cheese was outstanding, and grilled asparagus almost the best we've ever had. We are only giving 4+ instead of 5 because our wine came way too late after the steak was served, and that took a little bit away from perfect enjoyment of the food.
Very good steaknhouse. Our server, Chris, made a great dinner even better with his attentive service. Great atmosphere. Pricey but soo worth it.
Food and service were stellar. Matthew was amazing. Great food and great atmosphere. Definitely will be back. Everything we had was absolutely delicious!
Abe and Louis is a High-end restaurant in Boston's Back Bay that features an excellent menu of entrees and a-la-carte apps. and sides, which can be shared with table guests. Our waiter, Michael, knew the food and the restaurant very well, and astutely suggested wine pairings to accentuate the tastes offered on each plate. We were celebrating a friend's birthday on a beautiful Sunday afternoon; seating is spacious and available inside the building or along the sidewalk patio, which offers a great weather scene for people watching while you leisurely chew on and drink the “nectar of the Gods”. If you're in the city and wish to have a comfortable, special meal with friends, family, or clients, consider this outstanding eatery!!
Wonderful staff, phenomenal food and drink and our table was fabulous by the window on second floor.....much quieter than downstairs
Increíble el servicio y la comida , bone in ribeye y la papa acompañada de un buen vino .... Otro nivel .
Restaurantji Recommends
Expected a bit more from a high end steakhouse. Was there to celebrate a birthday which wasn't acknowledged despite being noted on the reservation. Bone-in filet special was $135...very undercooked. Roasted mushrooms lacked seasoning and flavor. No garnish on any plate. NY Strip cooked properly but pretty thin for a steakhouse. Disappointed for the price.
Amazing overall experience! Food was outstanding and our server phenomenal. Highly recommend!
Always a wonderful experience! Highly recommend. Brought 5 friends from out of town and everyone enjoyed the food and service. Outstanding!
We were celebrating our 16th anniversary and my retirement, and wanted to do it up right! We picked the right place for it. Coming in from Cape Cod, for a concert at Fenway we had reservations for Abe and Louie’s, but there were 2 at the bar so they let us sit there instead of our table. Our bartenders were great. To our surprise, Bree almost immediately said “Happy Anniversary!” And our drink order was taken. Michelle made a spicy margarita with a nice kick and a heavy glass, and a soda. Then we ordered shrimp cocktail which were brought out in mere moments. The shrimp were huge and cold and crunchy- perfect! We took our time and were not rushed to order our meal, but once we did, with Kendal, she asked all the right questions, offered to split our salad in the kitchen, and made some great recommendations. I wanted my Filet with their wedge salad as my entree and was told no problem. Our meal, my huge filet and my man’s ribeye were both cooked as requested and his suggested garlic whipped potatoes were creamy and yummy! The food was all out of this world, but what made the dining a true experience was the tango these three women danced around each other, each knowing what the other was doing and exactly what their patrons wanted. You can get a great filet many places but I pay for the service and we both felt like we were treated like royalty. Thank you Bree, Kendal and Michelle for making our anniversary and my retirement a true celebration!!
Abe and Louie's is my all time favorite restaurant but this was one one bad experience. The porterhouse was the worst cut of meat I've ever had in an upscale steakhouse. I couldn't even cut through a portion of it with a steak knife.
