We went to Abigail’s tea room without attending the Boston Tea Party museum portion which was best for us.
The tea was interesting and the clam chowder was delicious!
It was enough for us to just go and have tea, look at the ship and the harbor, and listen in on a portion of the tour from the group below the balcony where we were seated.

Tried the tea here. Got a tasting of 5 different teas for only about 4.50, unlimited. Started off the strong ones first. Really felt the caffeine kick. First time getting Boston creampied also. It was good but idk what to compare it too. Nice views in back. Didn’t do the tour. People were throwing boxes of the boat.

Just in case you're looking for a place to do an afternoon tea, with little sandwiches and cakes, this is NOT what you're looking for. You can buy tea and scones from the walk-up counter. Several types of scones on the menu, and they were pretty tasty. Self serve tea from big urns. Of course it was fairly pricey for self service food. We went on a warm and pleasantly humid day and sat outside. We could watch bits of the tours from above. It was a gorgeous view and on a nice day it's a beautiful spot to hang out, watching the activity in the harbor. They offer 5 or 6 different teas that would have been available at the time of the Boston Tea Party, so that was pretty cool - I liked one variety enough to buy some to take home. This place has both a big gift shop and offers tours by costumed guides, who also work the tea room to engage with you and answer questions. I would go back again for the excellent tea and the wonderful views from the outside seating area, but if I wanted an 'afternoon tea' experience I would go elsewhere.

This is a lovely place to stop on adventures on the harbor. The food is deli type but so delicious. The scones appear to be homemade and are a definite must! The atmosphere is delightful with such a fun crew of people dressed in 1600’s garb. The tea tasting was wonderful! I couldn’t decide what was best! Definitely worth the price and time!

The tour is of course a wonderful aspect of this place, but I wanted to take the time to highlight the amazing and above-and-beyond service of Jen P. at Abigail’s Tea Room! She showed immense kindness and thoughtfulness, which included noticing my medical bracelet and asking informed and understanding questions while showing respect. This seems like something small, but it goes to show that when someone loves their job, they radiate that love to others and therefore make the whole experience an unforgettable one.

This is a great stop after one of the tours, or even just to enjoy some delicious scones and truly unique cups of tea! When we’re back in the area, we will be stopping by again!

Thanks again, Jen. In a world where so many people choose bitterness, thank you for being a light!

It's a fun experience. You go in and pick out your food, check out and seat yourself. They have indoor and outdoor seating. For sandwiches to go, they are pretty good. Simple but good. The staff are dressed up and interact with the children. We had the self-serve tea sampler and enjoyed it.

A part of the tea party museum. If you can't do a tour (which you should if you can), I'd honestly consider just going and getting a cup and trying all the tea varieties they dumped in the harbor. $4.5 and all 5 are fantastic. Self serve.

Awesome spot for a tasty and reasonably priced lunch! I appreciated being able to get a bit of history without taking a full tour.

Had a wonderful time, especially thanks to the tour guide(s) at 4 pm. The main leader, “Sarah,” definitely made the experience worthwhile. There was a giant group of young kids that weren’t paying much attention (as young kids do-not a complaint) yet we were able to learn and enjoy the amazing museum and experiences nonetheless. They were very accommodating, humorous, and well equipped to handle large groups of people while keeping their attention. We liked the experience and would go back.
