Good food good price. Lovely service and warm decor. Clean carpet very old school style.
I got the seafood sopa verdes. For the price, it was good quality and filling. Happy to come back again.

This was my first meal back in the U.S. after a year living in Italy, and as someone who genuinely misses good Mexican food, Acapulco was a very welcome return. The dining room feels old-school in the best way, comfortable, familiar, and clearly rooted in the neighborhood rather than chasing trends.
The chips and salsa set the tone immediately: crisp chips and a salsa with real depth and heat, not watered down or forgettable. The chicken tamales were comforting and well-seasoned, with tender filling and a sauce that actually carried flavor. The beef burrito was generous and satisfying, the kind of plate that reminds you why this style of Mexican food is so missed when you live abroad.
Nothing here is trying to be reinvented, and that’s exactly why it works. Solid, confident Mexican cooking in a long-standing Jamaica Plain spot that knows what it does well.

First time I came here was during a heatwave/blackout and they were the only place functioning in the whole neighborhood. The food, price, quality, service, and atmosphere is just incredible, simple, and authentic. They are always empty. I love their decor. Their food is generously portioned, fresh, and delicious. They do an excellent job of being attentive without hovering despite us typically being the only customers at any given moment. Its incompressible that they are not busy on the regular. It is a spacious and clean resutrant, the prices for the quality, location, and size are impressive, and there are not many other Mexican specific restaurants around. Their liquor license is also better than most local restaurants.

Very basic but very charming food and atmosphere. If you come in knowing what to expect it will easily meet your expectations.

Been eating here since the 80s (I think) and I love it. Simple mexican food basics in a laid back, no frills, calm and relaxed restaurant. Staff is always fantastic.

Lovely little family-run restaurant serving delicious food at affordable prices in a homey and well-decorated atmosphere. Combination plates, sangria, and margaritas never fail to satisfy.

Standard Mexican restaurant. Friendly staff. Very affordable.
Truly a family run restaurant. The service is kind, the atmosphere is warm, the prices are unbelievably reasonable, and the food is delicious. I couldn’t recommend this establishment

After coming from the dentist, my food choices were limited. Truthfully I just needed a simple home cooked meal.
I definitely got it at Acapulco Restaurant. Customer service excels at this Mom and Pop venue.
The Margarita was expertly prepared and complimented the whole meal. There was plenty from the chips and plain salsa to the number one, which included rice and beans.
I felt valued, and there was great hospitality. I'll be sure to come through more often.
A must J.P. Mexican restaurant to visit, which is operated by a lovely family. The food is delicious, the prices are incrediblely reasonable, and the service is attentive. Acapulco is a hidden gem that many more patrons should visit. I recently moved to the area and discovered this establishment. They could use your support and patronage. Enjoy!
Great service and family that runs it but most importantly great food!
Very positive experiences here! This is truly a family restaurant, and you can get a filling and good meal here at excellent prices. We’ve gone a few times, and we’ll definitely keep going. It’s quiet and peaceful. Give it a try!

This place is a hidden gem if you want an affordable Mexican meal in Boston. The place has a very nostalgic vibe, but the food is good for the price! We had two dinner meals + 2 drinks for 30 dlls. The couple was very friendly and attentive.
