Great sandwiches, that are a great portion. I wish they had the large sandwiches that Al's offers at other locations (vs just small). Never had a bad sandwich from them. Get the bag lunch and a cookie!

15$!! Ordered a “hot” meatball sub and it was more like someone put the whole thing in the fridge for 8 hours. Horrid.

This place is excellent! How lucky am I to work so close to this shipping container. The bread is always so fresh and the sandwiches are scooby doo and shaggy sized large. I really wish they would come up with a rewards or point system for employees at the design center who come here almost daily. It’s for sure burning a hole in my pocket and I know that’s 100% my problem but a free sandwich after say maybe 10 purchased sandwiches would make a lot of sense in my opinion.

Really good and inexpensive food (for Boston). Simple subs with very fresh bread and ingredients.

This place is freaking amazing. It’s really quick and super fresh. The sandwich is also huge. Just be careful not to let the sandwich fall from the bottom because that happened to me.

Most of the time the food here is decent. Inflation is definitely hurting their business as I have seen ingredient quality take a hit. Especially with the tuna subs and the quality of the meat used in its steak subs. The meatball sub is a solid choice and won't disappoint, but there are no fries or onion rings here, and only 12 ounce cans for soda.If you don't feel like dropping $25+ for skimpy portions like it's neighbors, Al's Cafe is a good option. But avoid the steak sub and the tuna sub. This place was a staple for many of the construction workers in the area that didn't brown bag it in, and used to be worthy of 5 stars. If you have time, and a couple bucks more, you might consider Scola's, instead.

One of the best fast food service available in the Seaport/dry dock street/Design center. The service is fast, reliable and affordable. For example you get a snack bag: swandwich + Soda + chips at $11The price tag will definitely not break your wallet. Limited parking spot.

Al's is the best. Whether a sub, a wrap hot or cold you can't go wrong with Al's it's the best deal in the seaport. Now they have salads....oh yes
