Had a wonderful tea gathering with my sons at Amar in Boston! Located on the 17th floor with a breathtaking view of the city. The tea and desserts were delightful, the music set a cozy and pleasant atmosphere, and the staff was very friendly. Highly recommend for a special family outing!
You’d think the food would be good for this price range, but it was surprisingly disappointing. The lobster in the tagliatelle was like chewing a tire, the beet salad was tasteless. The service although very, very nice, and served complimentary champagne for my bday, which I appreciate, didn’t know the wines that well.
The food was fantastic and the people who served us were friendly and attentive. Only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is that the front hostess was a little rude when we wanted to add two people to our reservation. She wanted us to do a fixed menu but we wanted to order off the regular menu and were there for business so we were going to spend a lot regardless. Seafood tower was awesome, oysters and halibut were also fantastic.
