We’ve driven past this place so many times on our way to somewhere else. Today, we were fortunate to have theater tickets down the road, and dinner was in walking distance. In business since 1890, how could we not try it? \n\nIt’s warm and friendly inside, and felt immediately like a classic tavern that people still enjoy. Our server made me my go to non-alcoholic drink of an Arnold Palmer and it was perfect. I got the shepherds pie special, and my wife got a turkey burger....
What a wonderful find. We were walking around looking for a restaurant near our hotel. Its a family style historic restaurant with great food at a decent price. We especially liked the pumpkin risotto. I'd never had it but it was delicious and seemed appropriate for the fall.

The food and the service are pretty good. They have a lot of parking which is wonderful in Boston.

We went at 9:30, half an hour before closing, but they had already closed. Not impressive.
