The menu has central-Mexico cuisine staples and the quality is good. I have tried burritos, tacos, chilaquiles, omelettes, among other things and everything is great. The place is cozy with nice traditional decoration.

Landed in Boston around breakfast time. Searched for a spot to have breakfast before heading out of town. This place was nice and cozy. Staff were very friendly. I had the Huevos Rancheros with Chorizo with spicy green sauce. I enjoyed the meal.

Food was great and plenty of flavor.

Neighborhood restaurant that has a good brunch selection that includes both breakfast classics like omelettes and pancakes as well as Mexican favorites. If you want to ramp up the heat, ask for a side of the macha sauce. It’s smoky and flavorful. I really enjoyed my chilaquiles.

We’re quite regulars here. Everyone, from the owner to the staff, is incredibly friendly and welcoming. As a Mexican, I absolutely love chilaquiles, which is my favorite dish.

We were really disappointed with our experience at Angela’s. After jist moving into the neighborhood, we were so excited to find this chatming mom and pop restaurant.

Our daughter has a soybean oil allergy, and instead of being helpful or reassuring, the staff was dismissive and unaccommodating. We were met with attitude rather than assistance, and after being told repeatedly that there were “no options,” our daughter ended up being so embarrassed at the table. It was an awful way to handle a serious food allergy and a family just trying to enjoy a meal for the holidays. As they said everything is made with soybean oil, even the rice and beans.

To make matters worse, we were served five different burritos, all of which completely fell apart and were very skimpy on the meat. For a $19 burrito, the quality was extremely lacking. At that price point, you expect much better.

The only positive was the atmosphere—the restaurant itself is very cute with a great ambiance. Unfortunately, good decor doesn’t make up for poor service, especially when it comes to food allergies. Between the food and the service (particularly the female waitress), we won’t be returning. There are far better places to spend your money.

Probably one of the best Mexican breakfast/brunch plates I’ve had in Boston. Everything tasted fresh (no frozen meats), great sauces, and I especially liked the sautéed fried corn tortilla chips.

Their “award-winning” guac lived up to most of the hype. A little heavy on the salt and lime, but since the chips were unsalted, it evened out nicely. The guac itself had a lighter, almost whipped consistency, and the bold seasoning actually brought out more umami. Worked great on its own, but even better alongside the steak and chorizo.

Very cool cafe in East Boston. Food is delicious and reasonably priced and coffee is great. Atmosphere is very in line with true Mexican culture — has a vibrant and warm vibe. Had breakfast and I would definitely go back.

This has always been one of my go-to places, and I’ve loved coming here for years. Unfortunately, today’s visit was really disappointing and left a sour taste.
I was there to celebrate my partner’s birthday and mentioned that to our server, Jenny M, but it went completely unacknowledged. The restaurant was empty — we were the only guests — so I expected great service, but it was honestly the opposite.
She got my order wrong, and I had to call her over several times before she finally came to the table, rolling her eyes as she did. When I politely mentioned the appetizer mistake, she took the plate and, as she walked away, said, “What? Are you allergic to chicken?” — even though my main dish was chicken. The comment felt rude and unnecessary.
We’ve been loyal customers for years and chose this restaurant for a special occasion, but the service made it feel like a mistake. Even small gestures like turning the music up — something we’ve always enjoyed about the atmosphere — were ignored. We eventually played music from our phones just to lighten the mood.
This experience was really disappointing, especially knowing how great this place can be. I hope management addresses this, because loyal guests like us truly value the restaurant and want to see it live up to its usual standards.

Food is awesome, great service, super clean restaurant, the staff make you feel like you're eating in their home. Only warning I have is that I spotted I.C.E taking pictures and standing by the only exit. Creeped me out. Other than I.C.E ruining it for me towards the end, I had a pleasant breakfast with my family.
