Popped in for a drink and was welcomed by the friendly staff. Our group had an great time and will return again.

Excellent Italian restaurant in the heart of the North End. They have tables on the main floor and upstairs (which seems to be a little cooler).
Started with the zucchini flower with ricotta cheese as an appetizer.
Then had the tuna and the chicken Parmesan. Both were excellent. You really need to try their pasta which was why I had the parm.
They have a large selection of Italian wines.
A very worthwhile restaurant.

Food was mediocre. Lobster ravioli was drowned in acidic tomato sauce and not worth the price. The chicken Parmesan was nothing to write home about. Both pastas were more al dente than I wanted. The chocolate lava cake and the cocktails were the best parts of the meal. Paulo the server was fantastic though.

Server forgot my food, had to take it to go 30 minutes later. Got an email saying I wasn't even there so wasn't even checked in properly. Seats had insane amount of bread crumbs on them.

The service was excellent, the atmosphere was nice, but the food was just okay... Not quite good enough to justify the high prices or set itself apart from the other excellent options in the neighborhood.

We had a wonderful night enjoying a terrific dining experience at Assagio. Donato, our host, has to be the most engaging and accommodating host in the North End. The staff was very professional and attentive, and the Shrimp Scampi and Lasagnna dishes were so good.

Brought my 86 year old grand mom here for dinner- the staff was super friendly and accommodating! First floor was nice and quiet and the overall ambiance was great. Food was amazing!!! Highly recommend the meatballs and chicken or eggplant parm!

The food was subpar. The service was terrible and slow. My partner and I weren't acknowledged for the first 20-30 min we were at the table. The server apologized and said they'd “take care of us” to makeup for the wait but in the end kept forgetting our drink order and when the check came out we expected at the very least a complimentary dessert but nothing. The smell on the second floor was also disgusting because the bathroom is in the middle of the room. Very loud on the weekends, as all of north end is, so you might have to scream across the table for your dinner group to hear you

We had a wonderful group dinner at Assaggio. The food was delicious and there was plenty of room at our table for the party of 6. The staff was extremely helpful and flexible even when an additional 3 people joined our party at the table 30 minutes later. Our waiter Paulo was wonderful and accommodating with our growing party size and many requests for meal customizations. Highly recommended!
