Service and food were absolutely fantastic. First they were very flexible with our arrival time, given the Boston traffic snafus. And Johan was an excellent server, extremely personable and attentive to our needs, and flexible on our requests throughout. The whole experience was tremendous. Just a note for parking - they can validate at a nearby garage to save you 2 glasses of wine worth of parking fees compared to the valet option at their sister restaurant :)

We had a very enjoyable experience, from arriving a bit early for our reservation and being seated at the bar to wait for our table to the amazing complimentary bread service, the delicious appetizers, our primi and secondi courses, and a complimentary dessert. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. We highly recommend this wonderful restaurant.

My wife and I dined at Assaggio yesterday early evening. We were seated upstairs which has a bar, lounge (with TV) and dining room all in an open space. The atmosphere and decor there is updated Mediterranean casual with white tablecloth elegance. Very nice. Cocktails (Negroni & Aperol Spritz) were excellent. Eggplant parmigiana app., Caesar salad, entrees of Pasta Amatriciana and Lobster-Spinach Risotto(special) were absolutely delicious. We finished with a Lemon Spongecake...
