This is my first time in Boston I found a Japanese restaurant called “ Avana Sushi “ i went to another place last night 20 minutes before they closed (because i just got off the plane) every staff was so delighted to have me dine in the woman smiled and served it well…

But this place, i went there 20 mins before closing there was no staff welcoming me they were sitting down i thought it was already closed at 9.20 pm (because i checked it it said it closed at 9.45) nobody was asking me if i wanted to order something i thought i couldn’t order… it was raining a lot i was soaked i wanted to eat in to warm myself up a little bit… they said they were closing and in the meantime i was waiting for my order they were all talking and bullshitting in chinese tbh that was SO RUDE!!!! after i got my order this lady tried to clean up the floor even i was still arranging my stuff and trying to leave.

TERRIBLE experience here

If the manager sees this you should do something and i wish to get my money back every SUCKED at this place i was so DISAPPOINTED

One of the best sushi places in Boston! Always incredibly fresh, authentic, and delicious. This spot is a hidden gem, more of a hole-in-the-wall vibe, so I’d recommend getting takeout. If you’re looking to dine in, they have a second location that offers a more comfortable sit-down experience.

Not sure if I can find a lot of Poke Bowls in Boston (like NYC). Nice food, good price for a lunch takeout.

I keep trying to like this place but something is always amiss. Ordered take out and all of the sashimi in it was frozen. Not my idea of fresh fish in a sushi restaurant. What WAS thawed out was fine tasting, but not worth the money I spent at all

Really solid spot for the price. My girlfriend and I both enjoyed the sushi rolls, and they were quite affordable. It is also a tight, small seating area but its cute and fun. The service was also decent as well. I would recommend going with the rolls that aren't "special" because even though the special ones are good, and maybe worth a try, the regular sushi rolls are good and give you more value for money.

Very cheap fresh sushi! We were so pleasantly surprised. They had it out to us very quickly as well.

Discovered this place on Reddit. I walked in and was really confused because there are actually four or five food different shops inside.

I think they have good prices, a moderate selection but that is reasonable since they are a small shop. Nigiri tasted decent, as were some of the maki. Overall tastes good enough. Not premium level.
