We were never presented with a wine/cocktail menu until we requested one. Our server did not introduce himself at the table but he was pleasant. The charcuterie board was underwhelming and lacked a jam or spread for the baguette and crackers. The salmon was nice but the polenta had absolutely no flavor. We were told that the desserts we ordered would take some extra time but when the pecan pie arrived at the table it was burned. Overall, the meal was lacking but the restaurant was conveniently located in the hotel. The ambience was pleasant and cozy.

We ended up sitting at the bar. Good selection of drinks. I was surprised that there was Monkey 47, if any one is a fan. Norman, the bartender, was very nice. It was on Thanksgiving evening. We had a really good family time. We will be back.

A perfect lunch experience. Food was fantastic with an Italian flare. Drinks were perfect and service was right on time. Highly recommend!

My husband and I had made a reservation weeks before to go here before we saw Hamilton. It was a special night out and thought Avenue One would be a bit more upper scale in food and dining atmosphere. The interior is really nice and we were happy with that but the drinks, for the price were very disappointing. The food was more like pub food which I did not expect. The service was great and if it was just a night out for a casual dinner it would be fine, but I expected a better menu/food and drinks.

Lackluster experience all around. Atrium style space in a hotel lobby. Weak service. Uneven food all lacking robust flavor. Good location for our needs but will not return.

Cozy, private thanks to the “princess” chairs - impeccable, attentive service, appealing menu options- delicious! Not rushed at all. An enjoyable pre-theater dinner. Would definitely return and have already recommended to others!

The best item on either of our plates was the plain cherry tomatoes. Overcooked eggs and off-tasting mushrooms ruined the omelet. Hollandaise was flavorless, potatoes mushy (not crispy as promised by the menu). Convenient since we stayed in the hotel but I wouldn't visit again.

Too expensive! The only thing that saved it was the convenience. It was pouring down rain and it was nice to not have to go out of the hotel for breakfast.

We went twice, once for lunch and once for drinks. Bar tenders were great and service excellent for the drinks later in the evening. For lunch, the service was not great. The busser and host were attentive. We waited 15 minutes before I had to ask the host to get the server for us to begin the order. Then took another 20 minutes for the food which wasn’t the correct order. He fixed that quickly but then after finishing eating took another 20 minutes for the bill. It was not busy and shouldn’t have been that long. We were one of two tables in the whole place. The pro was the food was delicious.

Very convenient for dining before or after the theater. The food was excellent, service was very attentive without being intrusive. Nice ambiance, tables were not too crowded together like some other restaurants are.

Strange experience at Avenue One. First of all the website had a price fixed pre theater menu that was $20 less that what was actually offered. The offering was a little more upscale, I assume because it was Hamilton we were seeing. The restaurant was not crowded and we were seated immediately. The drinks were good and reasonable. My wife ordered a cup of clam chowder which was rich andpretty good but hard to find the clams and too many potatoes. I had the price fixed dinner which included an excellent Brussel sprout and warm bacon dressing. The strange part was that my wife got her soup a full 10 minutes before I got my salad. Next my wife had ordered a caesar salad with beef medallions as her entree. I got this wonderful blackened swordfish with a delightful sauce along with butternut Squash and swiss chard.. Again the strange part was that she got her entree a full 20 minutes before I got mine. She refused to eat hers until I got mine. The waiter had no real answer for the delay except that the chefs were arguing about who was cooking my entree. and they ended up not charging my wife for her entree as by the time she ate it was cold and the beef medallions were overcooked flat and dry. My entree was excellent and the dessert a pecan pie tart with vanilla ice cream was decadent and delicious. So the price fixed menu was excellent but the main menu food was not and the weird service was inexcusable. We appreciated them not charging for her entree. But they really need to fix the service.

The food and service were excellent. Portions were larger than expected, and the food was delicious- flavorful, textured, and seasoned well

Worst breakfast buffet I have ever had. Food wasn’t hot. The bacon was all tiny pieces. The only item I had that was good was the toast, and I made that.
