In town for a long weekend we decided to try B&G Oysters. The lobster roll and the oysters were delicious and fresh! It is a comfy open kitchen concept and we had no trouble getting a table. It was the perfect spot for lunch!

Sat at the bar for the raw bar. Incredibly fresh oysters with a rotating menu of options. We got 3 different types of oysters and the shrimp. Very fresh & tasty. Waitress was helpful and accommodating

Edit: charged to 3 stars as they've updated the hours on Google at least

I had to change my review to 1 star as they don't seat after 9pm on Fridays, possibly other days too. Given the advertised hrs on their website and Google, this seems very inconsiderate to customers to refuse every 2 hrs before advertised closing hrs. I'd suggest calling beforehand or simply going elsewhere

The best Lobster roll ever! We were in from the West Coast and always like to go to B&G.

A solid neighborhood spot with an intimate space. We lucked out with a table in the front window which was perfect for a relaxing dinner. Oysters and the salad special were a great start. The Swordfish entre was a good selection. Unfortunately, the menu doesn't describe and I didn't ask for the preparation of the Branzino which is fried. While I love Branzino, it was a disappointing pause in the dinner. Desert was fine but the lack of cappuccino and/or black tea left us going to a competitor a few blocks away.

Outside dining ...While waiting for our meal, my husband saw what he said was a rat running across the wall. I dismissed it, with "no way". After eating our entire meal and getting ready to leave we saw four mice running around in the corner where dishes were scraped off by staff. Needless to say this was not a good first impression in Boston nor the restaurant and if we had not already eaten we would have left!!

One of our favorite restaurants! We've been coming over a decade, and in fact, this is usually our spot for a late lunch after we get massages nearby on our anniversary every year. The staff are always welcoming and very on the ball - no awkward pacing or waiting for things. Food is always excellent, some of the best fish dishes out there. I'm slightly bummed that their lobster BLT isn't on the menu anymore but as usual everything else was fantastic (warm lobster roll in particular and chowder). Truly a little gem. We love sitting at the counter too, its fun to watch the kitchen and its still a nice dining experience with added bonus of some entertainment. I really hope they stay open.
