Our reservation got us past a long line waiting to get seated. Hostess was friendly and efficient. Our server Ari was pleasant, attentive but not hovering. We all had beef related meals with a variety of sides. All were excellently prepared and presented. Ended our meal with coffees and chocolate cake. Nice way to end our meal. Great location as it was just steps from the Citizens Boston Opera House. We enjoyed a late lunch after seeing the Matinee. Highly recommend.

Stumbled upon Back Deck after unsuccessfully getting a table at a few restaurants in the area. Ari provided great service and the food was good. I had a pleasant experience. Will come back again next time I visit Boston.
Good luck if you want service. I left after sitting for ten plus minutes without even a glass of water being poured or an acknowledgement that i was waiting for setvice. They were not that busy....
