I had a very disappointing and terrible experience. I ordered cupcakes for both of my sons for Valentine’s Day, to be delivered to two different addresses. One son received the cupcakes which did not look nor taste as delectable as the photos . Nothing special to the taste, especially given the price.. My other son did not receive the order at all. I emailed them multiple times, tried to call the customer service four times and received no response. Left a voice message for a callback with Customer Service, but never received one. Also sent them a message on Facebook. No reply at all. Very disappointing and I would never order from them again. It’s now been over one week and they haven’t replied to email, phone call, or Facebook.

Horrible experience! I was told my delivery would be here by the 14th but when I checked the status on the website, it hasn’t even shipped yet. It’s still being “processed”. No one answers their customer service line, so it’s extremely difficult to receive any information or have your questions answered. For the amount of the cupcakes the terrible customer service isn’t worth it. Never again.

I was shocked at how mediocre these cupcakes are, especially for the insane price. They hardly have any flavor and pretty much all taste the same. They’re so small…they’re hardly even a bite. On top of the ones I bought for my household, I bought some for a Xmas gift and was embarrassed to give them.

My company ordered these for an event. The cupcakes are very cute, but because of the small size, expect to order at least 4-5 per person. There are plenty of flavors with vegan and gluten-free options. The size makes it easy to sample a bunch of flavors without feeling guilty (and they truly are just samples, so don’t expect the quality or depth of flavor that you would get with a full-size cupcake). Overall, they were a great catering option for an event. I can’t speak to the price or service.

I tried one of their cupcakes once and found them relatively good and cute so I ordered them as a gift to my brother in law for the holidays. I made the mistake of not double checking if they would be home for the standard delivery date before ordering (this is entirely my fault), but minutes after I clicked order I checked and they weren't going to be home until a week after the delivery date. I immediately tried reaching out to the company via phone, and email (like within an hour of placing the order). You CANNOT get a real person on the line to save your life. I tried calling multiple times a day every day to the different extensions. I've left voicemails. I've "held my place in line for a callback." I've written emails. NOTHING. All I got was a auto reply to my email saying "we'll get back to you" and "your case was closed." with ZERO resolution. And then got an email a few days later saying my order was shipped. WHICH IS WHAT I WAS TRYING TO PREVENT. So now I have $100 of overpriced cupcakes being delivered a week early, that won't be edible by the time my brother in law gets back. It is so absurd how bad customer service is. Never buying from them again.

Cupcakes are good but super small and expensive. We bought a box of 6 but they ran out of regular boxes and therefore one is forced to buy a holiday box for an additional cost ($5). They could have just given it complimentary but no, they charged us. What a scam!!

Ordered 100 cupcakes, by delivery, only 50 arrived. Stayed on the phone for 43 minutes and was told it was too late to deliver the remaining. I needed them for the next day. There is a store front less than 6 miles but won’t deliver because the town doesn’t say”Boston.” I asked to speak to a manager: was put on hold for 15 minutes and Manager refused to get on the phone with me but offered, via the customer service representative, to call me “tomorrow.” I asked for a refund & believe it was given. BEWARE & USE CAUTION if your are ordering for an event. This company is uninterested in customer service and apparently relaxed in their approach to order accuracy.

I love baked by Melissa, like the frosting is next level in ever flavor, BUT I miss the way it used to be when I would get them in NYC. The frozen was impossible to sit down and eat, I couldn’t select what flavors I wanted, and it was hard to make my two year old wait for them to soften (CWOLD- two year old voice) Then of course when they did soften they were sticky and gross (yuck messy- same two year old voice) I was so excited to have one in our neighborhood but I would say if you have never had Baked By Melissa non frozen definitely go for it and try, just eat with a fork so you don’t get covered in cake. If you have tried it hold off, it will make you sad. Also, irrational request but can you sell just the vanilla frosting and not mini size. Yum.

I won't order from here again for a corporate event unless I can pick up the order and deliver it myself. Apparently the Boston shop is too small to have cupcakes carefully delivered same day to Jamaica Plain. (Which is IN Boston). Instead our cupcakes were delivered to the hospital via Fedex all the way from New York. The FedEx driver left them in the loading dock instead of making sure they were taken to the proper department. I'm sure they're delicious but obviously not big enough to handle a certain level of order.
