I had such a wonderful experience at this Dominican restaurant that’s ran under a new management ! The food was absolutely delicious full of authentic flavor and cooked to perfection. What stood out even more was the owner, who was so sweet, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect. You can really feel the care and pride put into both the food and the service. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this gem to everyone I know!

I walked into B-A-N-I for lunch—came in first, stood in front of the counter, ready to order. I'm African American. A Hispanic gentleman came in after me, and instead of the staff acknowledging who was next, the woman behind the counter immediately turned her full attention to him. Not a “who’s next?”—not even a glance my way. She began going over the entire menu in Spanish with him, preparing to serve him first.
It wasn’t until he chuckled and pointed out that I was there first that she even paused. That says a lot.
This is a Hispanic restaurant, yes—but that doesn’t give anyone a free pass to skip over people based on familiarity or shared culture. That’s not how professional service works. That’s not how any good restaurant should operate, especially not under “new management.”
Respect should never come second to race, language, or background. And based on how I was treated, I’ll never be back.
Do better.
I stop by weekly and the service and quality of the food is not only excellent but it feels like you are visiting your local restaurant In the Dominican Republic, right here in Boston. I recommend that you order a blended smoothie, it always completes my meals. I can’t order with out one.

The best food around! Morena is amazing, her care and friendly attitude is so welcoming. We ordered a mangu with bacalao was delicious. I think is one of the best Caribbean restaurants around.

My bride and I decided to enter this establishment and WOW was my first reaction after just ordering out food. From the greeting we received from a wonderful owner who was doing EVERYTHING. We tried this Dominican restaurant and the food was DELICIOUS especially their beans and rice and chicken my favorite so far. Look forward to trying another dish on our next visit.

Very nice staff, unfortunately the food was not good to me. It didn't seem fresh, but rather old or been sitting out for a while.
