Warm, friendly, and lively atmosphere. Great service. We had 2 to 3 servers and it was easy to get someone’s attention when needed. Food was delicious and reasonably priced compared with other Boston restaurants in this area. Highly recommended.

Vegetarian options: Lots to choose from! Vegetable Paella, Patatas Bravas, Turnips, Eggplant, Squash, Spinach & Chick Pea, Broccoli rabe, Kale, brussel sprouts, Roasted carrots, Sweet Potatoes, Olives, and hummus (you can request it without lamb). They also have salads and cheese options (non vegan).

Forever one of my top favorite spots in Boston! Has been a favorite of mine for years, and never disappoints. For as good the tapas are, the service and vibes are even better! Brandon & the team know how to go above & beyond for their customers!! A must go in the south end.

This is a very lively place with delicious food, cocktails, and wine. It gets very busy and the music is loud and sounds like you are in a club. The staff was excellent. Our servers Geronimo and Danielle were outstanding. They were personable, helpful, professional, and made great recommendations. Overall it was a terrific experience and we will definitely return when we are back in Boston.

Cute atmosphere and our server was so kind and gave us recommendations and also asked for our opinion on a menu item. The charcuterie was very interesting and paired really well with the bread. My friends enjoyed their wine flight.

The other non-charcuterie items were fine but not amazing. We had beef tartare, fried duck bikini, roasted carrots, burrata w/ fennel, fries. It was a mix of okay fancy food and standard bar food.

Booked a reservation 1 week in advance. Currently have been waiting over an hour for said reservation and host still has “no timetable for when we will be seated.” Host has no organizational skills and fails to communicate accurately with guests. The music is decent and wine is alright.

Everything was excellent but the music in the place was not appropriate, it should be Spanish and there was also very loud heavy rock which made it a bit unpleasant to chat with the group of friends at dinner. Good food and service. The site is recommended!

Food was terrible. Tapas not authentic and way overpriced for portion and quality. They are priced around 5-20$ per tapa but none of that is worth it. We also had a large dish with steak, chicken and pork. Steak was well done though we asked medium rare. Other than that all the meats were also dry and just tasted terrible. Expected good quality for a 4.5 star rating but was way below that of Olive Garden or Cheesecake Factory. Service was fine. Music was extremely loud and the place was extremely packed. People were so loud it was hard to hear the waiter.

No respect for anyone’s time. Always have to wait 30+ minutes even with a reservation.

I recently dined at Barcelona Wine Bar and had a fantastic experience, despite an unexpected delay in being seated. Our reservation was met with an unforeseen capacity limit that held us up, but I must commend the staff for their exceptional handling of the situation.

From the moment we arrived, the team was incredibly apologetic and worked diligently to keep us informed. The general manager, Brandon, truly shined during this time. He approached us with genuine concern, and instead of simply offering an apology, he went above and beyond. Brandon treated us to a complimentary meal, which completely transformed our experience.

The food was absolutely delicious, and every dish we tried was a testament to the chef’s skill. It was clear that the staff were dedicated to ensuring we enjoyed our evening, and their warm hospitality made all the difference.

Overall, I left Barcelona Wine Bar feeling valued and appreciated as a guest. Thank you, Brandon and team, for turning a minor hiccup into a memorable dining experience! I can’t wait to return and enjoy more of your wonderful offerings. Highly recommend!

I used to go to Barcelona often with my friends and my experience was typically very good. I made a reservation to celebrate my friend's birthday but when I got there, A long line had former outside. We had an 8pm reservation and checked in at 755pm. We were told the fire department had visited earlier that day and was “limiting capacity”. The restaurant was full of people however as it always is. The hostess said we may have to wait 30 minutes more. After 30 minutes we checked back in and were told we would be next to go inside. We didn’t realize this just meant we would be able to wait inside - our table still wasn’t ready. After waiting an additional 20 mins, we again asked for an update and were told that it would be an additional 45 minutes. The host staff were rude and unhelpful. It seems like they overbooked reservations and used the fire department as an excuse. If the fire department was really limiting capacity they should have notified us earlier in the day. finally after a long wait we left in frustration. It wasn’t until 945 that we received a text saying our table was ready. 1 hour and 45 mins after our reservation. Barcelona will not be getting our business any longer.

We found this place on Find Me Gluten. My wife has Celiac, and is 100% gluten free and I have Crohn's and try to be as well. Fun stuff. The Server marked up a gluten free menu for my wife, which I've never seen, and we understand that have separate restaurant equipment as well. Top notch... Highly recommend. Tuna Crudo was the best but we loved the Carrots, Bacon wrapped dates and Pulpo as well. We had a great Vinho Verde bottle as well with dinner.
