We visited this restaurant to celebrate my wife’s 30th birthday and were really looking forward to a special evening. Unfortunately, the experience was soured by how the manager handled a simple ID issue.
Despite presenting a valid UK driver’s licence, which clearly shows my date of birth and is accepted as legal ID in most parts of the world, the manager refused to serve me alcohol. I fully understand that U.S. states have strict rules, but what was disappointing was the attitude and lack of empathy shown. There was no courtesy, no explanation of the law in a professional way, and no effort to handle the situation with respect or understanding — especially given we were celebrating a milestone occasion. I should also note that no establishment prior had refused to serve us solely for producing a UK driving licence.
Non locals shouldn’t be made to feel unwelcome or embarrassed for not holding a local ID. A simple, friendly explanation would have gone a long way.
The food itself was good, and our server was friendly, but the overall experience left a very negative impression due to poor management and customer service, especially the front of house manager who seemed to have an attitude problem and a funny way of dealing with customers grievance.

This is easily one of the most expansive menus I've seen for tapas. The food was delicious. Yuber was my server, and was absolutely one of the best servers I've ever had. I highly recommend this place. Plus, this is the first Boston restaurant where I've dined, and this sets the bar really high.

We usually love Barcelona and were excited to bring family and friends, but the last two times we visited we had to wait 45min at a packed bar after our reservation time be seated. The food is great, but it makes it tough to recommend it to friends given how inconsistent the reservation system is

If you’re looking for a fun and lively spot for dinner or drinks, I think Barcelona Wine Bar is a great choice. The place is fairly loud with lively music and lots of people, which is fun if you’re with a group of friends, although it can be difficult to hear the people at your table. To eat, we ordered a charcuterie board with two meats and two cheeses, all super delicious and I enjoyed the customizable aspect. My favorite charcuterie items were the dulce de bourgogne and the jamon serrano. The one main dish we ordered was the paella salvaje, which I enjoyed despite generally disliking paella. We filled up mostly on appetizers, of which my favorites were the jamon & manchego croquetas, the bacon wrapped dates and the skirt steak. I don’t drink, and there were no zero proof beverages/mocktails, so I can’t speak to the quality of the drinks, but they did have classic soda options such as Pepsi. I had the arroz con lèche brûlée, which was really unique and delicious. When we first entered, there was no waiting area or host desk, so it was confusing as to where we were meant to check in and wait for our table, and when time came to pay, it did take us a while to find our server. Other then that, the service was good and the manager Sabrina was very friendly. I will definitely come back with friends when we need another fun night out.

The food was excellent and everything was delicious. The service was slow because the restaurant was so packed. It was still worth it, and I will definitely be going back.

We were here to celebrate a birthday but we will not be coming back. Unfortunately, our server failed to give us our food in a timely manner and spent most his time talking to the other servers. We were unattended to for the majority of our dinner and had to rely on other servers to get straws and figure out where our food was. We ordered paella and two tapas. The tapas and drinks arrived within 10 minutes but after the 50 minute mark, we gave up on the paella and ordering desserts. We had to ask the hostess to locate our server and close out our table. Eventually, our server came and he said it takes about 40 minutes for paella but at that point, we were frustrated that he didn’t give us that information when we ordered and was nowhere to be found after. Other tables who sat down after us also got their paella before us. It seemed like our server only made excuses to justify his lack of professionalism and lackadaisical behavior. I would not recommend this place to anyone celebrating a special occasion.

This place was a regular favorite. Can get busy but food is consistently good quality. Especially the ‘basics’ like the Spanish tortilla.
We made a reservation for inside. They made us wait for 30 and eventually gave us a table outside. Their resevation system doesn't work properly.
