Super unique ordering system - you can't get something by talking to someone, only through their GrubHub tablets. It wasn't a difficult ordering system by any means, but it was just a little weird since there was staff we could visibly see making all the food behind the counter. The food was extremely overpriced in my opinion - really not worth the price for what I got, but the bowl I did order was relatively filling and tasted okay. It's just overall, the price of everything was a little too steep for the quality of food that they produce. Overall, I would say come here if you're in need of a fast meal like I was, but if there are other options, I'd go there first.

Never had broccoli, napa cabbage, or bean sprouts in my ramen. Go somewhere else for ramen (santouka). Rolls are decent tho.

They don't look at the side notes if you ask them not to include something they will do it anyways. Limited options and tbh a waste of money. Amazing concept poor execution.

This is been around for a while and I can't believe it took so long for me to actually eat here. Basho is a good fusion Japanese restaurant. I had the spicy miso udon noodle soup. It was good if you like miso soup but I asked for beef and they just added some cut up pieces of beef but nothing great...very average. The pork USA was good and the spicy tuna Maki roll was good too. I ordered two orders of uni they were good except I didn't really like the quality of rice. The tempura ice cream was very average. It was a little soggy and not enough ice cream. The mochi ice cream was okay too. The service was fine but it looks like a kid is too larger parties. I also sampled the sirloin beef and that was really good. I would come back here to try other things on the menu but my first impression was fine.

Great location. Excellent food. Wonderful service. Within walking distance of Fenway Park. Would certainly return when in the area.

Great food right next to fenway. Great service. Lots of selections. I went with the tasty roll. We also had edamame and the Tuna tempura mango salsa. The Phoenix roll was excellent as well. They have a great selection of drinks. I saw that they had a Japanese whiskey on tap. I need to come back and try that. We ended our culinary journey with banana Nutella gyoza. Just wow. It was served warm and the Nutella with banana tasted amazing.

I've been to Basho Japanese Brasserie twice - once with family and once with friends. The cocktails were a hit or miss. I don't recommend the Fen-Zu. It tasted like cleaning solution. Whenever I go to Basho Japanese Brasserie, I stick with Hot Green Tea. The food and service were always good. Some of our favorite appetizers are Pork Belly Steamed Bun, Shishito Peppers, Agedashi Tofu, and Robata items (e.g., Negi Chicken, Chicken Thighs, Kobe Sliders, Eel). Some of our favorite rolls are 1338 Roll, Summer Roll, and Shrimp Tempura Roll. Some of our favorite dinner entrees included their Maki and Nigiri Platter, Sashimi Dinner, Miso Yaki Dinner, and Pork Ramen. Our favorite dessert is the Banana Tempura.

We came here for dinner and it was pretty empty but service was still little bit slow. The inside is more spacious than how it looks on the outside. There's a lot of menu options to order from. We got Rice Cakes, Fried Rice, and Donburi. Food presentation and quality are mediocre. If you are planning to dine here, I'd suggest ordering sushi/rolls.

The best place to eat sushi in Fenway. It's my go-to sit-in restaurant and we went on a Saturday night. Tables are spaced out so you're not eavesdropping the table next to you, and food is amazing. For a packed Saturday night, service was a little slow at first to get our main course, but drinks and apps came on time. Highly recommend!

Do Not Recommend Ordered three sets of signature rolls and an appetizer. The rolls were just ok, one of them had some kind of a dry, chewy white meat which was really bad. Fish in the rolls didn't feel fresh and tiny pieces. The restaurant interior was also not well maintained, floors in bad condition. Definitely won't return.

This food is really good. High quality ingredients. People who say otherwise are CRAZY.

We arrived on a Thursday evening and was seated right away. Shortly after, most tables were taken. Our server was nice and communicated the menu items very well. Not bad pricing for Boston, though the portions were smaller than expected for sushi. Overall great experience and vibe.

One of my FAVORITE restaurants in New England. Fantastic fried rice, edamame, cocktails, steamed buns, noodles, everything!!! Jay the server was super helpful and very kind recently when I was there! They're always so efficient and friendly. HIGHLY recommend
