Best pastrami sandwich I have ever had. Many times, people have tried to convince me on the merits of a pastrami sandwich. I had always left disappointed whenever I order pastrami...until I tried this place. Nestled in the corner of the Boston Public Market, it is worth making the trek here.

Google says the store opens at 8 AM. The owner was already there, and the store was open, but the food wasn’t ready yet. They started our order at 9:15 AM. According to my daughter, who wanted it, the taste was good.

I honestly didn’t think I liked pastrami. After spending a couple days in Boston, I randomly stopped at Beantown Pastrami Company right as they were opening in search for something my husband could eat quickly before we got back on the road to Oregon. The only meat they had available at that time was pastrami so that’s what I ordered. :) After seeing his sandwich I asked for a bite and have been talking about it ever since! I was so confused because all the pastrami I have ever seen is thin and sort of slimy at times. I finally decide to go to the website and figure out what was so different and learned I’ve only had “deli” pastrami and the way Beantown serves their’s is the real and true way. Absolutely delicious! Whether you think you like pastrami or not you must try Beantown!

the pastrami sandwich gave me watery diarrhea for a week and i nearly soiled my pants two hours after eating it. i know it was caused by the pastrami sandwich since it was the only thing i ate after i got off my flight.

Genuinely the best pastrami and sandwich I’ve had in Boston … and I’ve looked around a fair bit. Their portions are not huge but flavor is plentiful. There is really not a whole lot more to be said … go try and you might be pleased like I was.
Stop Reading.
Really, stop, I might offend you if you continue to read at your own risk.
Ok fine … the sandwich scene in town is not great and some people should stop comparing to NYC. Beantown Pastrami does well in its own right. I’ve eaten here twice and will probably come back for more.
Just to be clear, I like beantown’s Pastrami. I personally am not huge on smokiness but I like pickliness which this is. This is not KATZ but I don’t want it to be … like it the way it is.
I had the traditional on light rye toasted with provolone.

I ate at beantown in the Boston Logan airport today, July 23 2025, and it was absolutely the worst service I have experienced in my entire life. I ordered the turkey club, and was told to tap my card to pay. My tap did not work, so I inserted the card and the worker said “are you unable to follow directions? It says tap, that is the only way to pay”. I was taken aback by her demeanor, but thanked her. She then said, “we don’t have turkey, chicken, or ham” after I had just paid for my turkey sandwhich. She had charged me a ridiculous $22 for a pastrami Rueben, a sandwhich that I did not even want. I was infuriated, but did not want to make any sort of scene as I was in an airport and in a hurry for my flight. My food was then slammed onto the counter, the box covered in sauce and food scraps, which sprayed all over my brand new white pants. When I opened the box, this is the sandwhich that I was met with - a soggy, cold pastrami sandwhich. Again, this is the absolute worst experience I have ever had with a food industry worker, and created this account simply to write this review. If I could give 0 stars, I absolutely would. I am unsure if this individual is employed by the company directly, or the airport, so I would love a response from the owner/manager clarifying who is responsible for her hiring.
Edited to correct pricing, was actually $22, not $25

We grabbed food here, the pastrami sandwich tasted great but was quite thin, especially compared to the picture they post on their site. It was very good though, could have used more meat. Also had a grilled cheese. Sat outside, great weather.

Such a delicious pastrami sandwich!! I ordered a create your own sandwich and ended up eating half of my husbands pastrami sandwich because it was SO GOOD! The sandwich was really light and not drenched in sauce/oil/butter. Lovely guys working the register. Ate and left no crumbs!

Rating the airport branch. Never a good thing to place an order and watch the crew bring a tote of pastrami from the cooler to dump in the warmer. Still cold when it made it to me. Nice folks serving, but not enough of them. 19$ is a lot for a cold hot pastrami sandwich with nothing on the side.
My go to now every time I’m around Faneuil hall. Try the Thanksgiving sandwich
Really good pastrami, but the portions were pretty small.
