closed:/ went to go get dinner as it said it was open online and when we got there, the place was under construction and very much so not open.

This place is closed. Apparently since June 2022.

This place seems like it is under new management. Do NOT go. The waitress was so rude and the bill was outrageous for the quality. $15 for a glass of house wine and $10 for one meatball. There are so many great places in the North End. Avoid this one!!!

I am almost reluctant to write this review because I selfishly don’t want to wait in a two hour line next time I visit there. The food was soooo very tasty, the bread was devour-able, and the atmosphere was as if we were sitting at Nonna’s kitchen table after a long journey and far too long between visits. We left there feeling part of the family that runs both neighboring restaurants and yearning to return. Just amazing in every way. If you are all about the food and not about the bar, Bella Vista is the casa for you. Caio Bella!

Just one of many delightfully authentic Italian Restaurants in Boston’s Old North End. Limited window space though.

I just want to thank "Jason Statham" for restoring my faith in Hanover St dining. After a horrible experience at Nando the night before where we waited 90 minutes past our reservation time, hearing him say to incoming people, "Sorry Folks, we are fully Booked tonight" melted my heart. This was while seated at our cozy corner table where we were seated 3 minutes from our reservation time. He made us feel like family and waxed poetic about Melodramatics. Just amazing!

Bar none, the best red sauce anywhere!!! Don't be fooled by the old fashioned decor.. this restaurant has mouth watering sauces.

This review is a few years late but I brought my mom here and we had a wonderful time. The food was fantastic, however, I have to say the most memorable part was the service. Thank you to Tony for your recommendations and taking care of us!

Rated this very good based on the food. Tried this restaurant less than a month ago. The staff was unfriendly and not very helpful. I had a couple of questions on the the dishes I was trying to decide on. I asked the person taking our order if she'd recommend 1 of the dishes. Her response was if it wasn't good, they wouldn't be in business. I also asked her another question which she ignored even after repeating it. Thankfully the food was really good. Friends had the eggplant parm, chicken marsala and I had the pasta carbonara. The only complaint was my friend said the sauce on his pasta was spicy which wasn't mentioned on the menu. Even though the service lacked we gave a very generous tip. The server didn't even thank us.

The restaurant was literally closed, and looked like it had been for a while. Front door locked, no lights on, windows covered up. Drove all the way into the city for this dinner. Thanks a lot guys.

Absolutely a must stop when in Boston. The perfect experience and the food is fantastic.

We had a 615pm reservation at Bella Vista and when we got there the restaurant was closed. We were surprised that they accepted the reservation even though the restaurant wasn't open. We had to wait an hour and a half at another spot for dinner.

Below average food quality and rude service. Friends came to visit Boston and I checked all reviews and availability in the area. So regret picking this one. From the ordering , the waiter is quite rude correcting everything. Our plan was to order some more and take the leftover to go as we will be hungry again after seeing a night comedy. The waiter said too much food only entry.l (It turned out we finished everything we ordered but still felt hungry). When I went to the restroom he was yelling at me asking me to use the one downstairs instead of the upstairs w, even though I have been told it and had no intention to use the one upstairs. We all got so scared and thought he might be in a bad mood that day as almost all of the encounters were very rude. Can you imagine we pass the dirty plates carefully with two hands when he came to collect them. Sadly it turns out the food quality is not worth the suffering at all. We had linguine with seafood, Ziti alla Arrabbiata, and lobster. None of us felt out dish was even mediocre. Will never comeback or recommend to any friend. Maybe the restaurant does not care at all as it's in a busy area with many tourists.

Got to say this was a great find..... had the minestrone.... Very good Wife had fried seafood and she loved every bit of it... and a very good sized portion I had chicken parm and very good, as well. Oh did I mention the bread..... like awwwwwesome.. Not as busy as the other places, but probably much better than the other places.
