Tucked away among charming brownstone shops and patio dining is Ben & Jerry's flagship Boston location on historic Newbury Street.

Iconic Vermont-based ice cream parlor chain, known for its creative, cleverly named flavors.
Address: 174 Newbury St, Boston, MA 02116, United States

Ben & Jerry's sources milk from hundreds of local farms. Ben & Jerry's ice cream is made through a 13-step process that starts with sourcing milk from local farms and ends with filling pints.

Ben & Jerry's proudly serves up its legendary scoops, milkshakes, and fresh-baked waffle cones here – a short walk from Copley Square.

The ice cream is always creamy and delicious.

My husband ordered a hot fudge Sunday, vanilla ice cream , hot fudge , and whip cream.

The hot fudge was sparingly
drizzled over the whip cream.

Too little hot fudge!

Accidentally ordered uber eats from here with incorrect delivery address. Canceled it IMMEDIATELY.
Store claims no refund since they claimed to have started preparing.

I ordered a birthday cake and presentation was a major letdown. The writing on the cake was almost illegible, and the message was not centered, it look sloppy and unprofessional.

It was clear that there was a lack of care and attention to detail in the preparation of the cake. For a special occasion, I expected a more polished presentation for a $35 ice cream cake.

Do not support this franchise. The owner is a fraud and under pays his workers.

Service ?‍♂️

A shoutout to the fantastic team members Tri and Alex at Ben and Jerry’s! Their friendly demeanor and pleasant conversation transformed a simple ice cream run into a memorable experience. Despite being a corporate chain, the personal touch from these two employees made us feel special. Their warmth and attentiveness elevated our evening, proving that great service can make all the difference. ?????

Decor ?

While Ben and Jerry’s offers delicious ice cream, the cleanliness of this particular location left something to be desired. There was melted ice cream on the floor, sticky surfaces, and a general sense of untidiness. It’s understandable that the staff might be juggling multiple responsibilities, but a cleaner environment would significantly enhance the overall experience. The decor itself is fun and vibrant, typical of Ben and Jerry’s, but the cleanliness issues were a noticeable downside. ???

Food ?️

The ice cream at Ben and Jerry’s is as delightful as ever. I indulged in Marshmallow Sky and Salted Caramel Blondie, both rich and flavorful. My girlfriend, who is lactose intolerant, opted for the vegan, non-dairy Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. Non-dairy flavors can be hit or miss, but this one was fantastic—creamy and delicious, without the watery taste we’ve encountered elsewhere. Although the prices reflect the upscale Newbury Street location, the quality of the ice cream justifies the cost. ?????

In Retrospect ?

Reflecting on our visit, Ben and Jerry’s on Newbury Street provided a great ice cream experience with exceptional service and delicious flavors. The cleanliness issues were a minor setback, but the friendly staff and high-quality ice cream more than made up for it. We would definitely return for another sweet treat.

Final Verdict: ????? - “Great”
Catchy One-Liner: “Fantastic service and delicious non-dairy options make Ben and Jerry’s a sweet stop on Newbury Street.”

We recently visited with several children with severe food allergies, and had the most wonderful experience. The staff treated us all with the utmost care, kindness, and consideration. Very highly recommend!

Oh, the price is a bit excessive, yes it's good and it's the brand, but $8.75 would be the right amount.
