Beware when ordering online from Billy Tse.

The online menu is confusing and poorly designed. When I ordered “Chicken with Vegetables,” the only option shown was “steamed,” so I assumed it would still come with a typical sauce like most Chinese dishes. Instead, what arrived was a container of plain steamed chicken and vegetables with absolutely no sauce — completely flavorless.

To make matters worse, most of the food arrived barely warm, and the fried items were already soggy by the time they got here.

I called the restaurant to ask about the dish and see if there was a mistake. Instead of trying to help or offering any kind of solution, the person I spoke with blamed me for the order and actually laughed about it. There was zero attempt to make things right.

Between the confusing online menu, cold and soggy food, and dismissive customer service, this was a very disappointing experience.

Save your money and order elsewhere.

Everything here is great and Peaking raviolis are my favorite.

While the food was great, it was challenging to eat it. No utensils or napkins were packed with the delivery order, not even chopsticks. I even added extra order notes reminding them not to forget utensils. At least it makes for tasty finger licking after you finish.

In the heart of Boston’s Little Italy, Billy Tse remains one of the neighborhood’s most unexpected food spots. For more than 25 years, it’s been my quiet go‑to for shrimp tempura maki, tekka maki, Vietnamese chicken, miso soup, spicy string beans, and baby bok choy, dishes that have stayed consistently good.
On Christmas Eve, when much of the city shuts down and options narrow to Chinatown’s late‑night standbys, Billy Tse is the rare North End restaurant still open. The décor hasn’t changed, but that’s never been the appeal. You come for simplicity, affordability, and an unpretentious meal in a neighborhood known for everything but pan‑Asian cuisine.
A dependable classic that never tries to be anything other than what it is, and that’s exactly why my former North End neighbors and I keep returning.

They have a lot of return customers. Their Yang Chow fried rice was excellent and lots of Umami flavor. The Pu Pu Platter for one could feed two. The alcohol was just right. Erin, the bartender was very friendly.

No wonder it was completely empty and no take out orders in sight. Absolutely disgusting food tasted very unfresh. How does an egg roll smell rotten? The beef teriyaki was way too sweet. I also got a soda which was flat. Asked for another it was completely flat and the lady was so upset at me because her product wasnt up to par. Very rude giving me my refund just for the soda even tho my whole dinner was absolutely disgusting.

On my recent trip to Boston I visited Billy Tse Chinese restaurant. I remember this restaurant from years ago in Revere MA and always liked their food, so I was excited to try it again in Boston. Unfortunately it was a big disappointment. It's obvious from the faded awnings to the dark cave like atmosphere. This restaurant is on the way out. There's been no effort to maintain or update the place in years. And that would be okay if the food was great, but it's not! Chicken fingers were more batter than chicken, and over cooked. The boneless spare ribs were dry, along with the teriyaki. The rice was the only thing I enjoyed and that I'd say was mediocre.

Extremley rude service. Food mediocre. Sesame chicken was mostly batter. No wonder it was 75% empty on a Friday night. Don't waste your time.

Good Chinese food at reasonable prices. Soup dumplings were surprisingly good. Everything else we ordered was very good.

We were looking around late night when we found this shop. We gave it a try and it was worth it. Their food isn’t oily. We asked to make it spicy and they delivered. For the price, the portion size was beyond enough. Would definitely recommend trying out this spot if you’re into area. Convenient as well since it’s near the main road.

My husband and I just ate at Billy Tse. The service was impeccable. We had, for the first time, the original Xiao Long Boa (steamed dumplings). Excellent. My husband had the Duck and I had Sushi, fresh and beautifully served.
