Very cute and creative doughnut shop.
We tried the 'Everything bagel and it was delicious.
Took two boxes back for our friends.
The young man at the counter was very friendly and pleasant.

We stopped here in the mornings for breakfast and everything was delicious! We tried the lavender green tea, the traditional chocolate donut, and the hame and gruyere croissant which is even better heated up, just ask!

They run out of donuts pretty quickly even though they're open until the afternoon. The donuts were ok, they reminded me of a less stale version of Dunkin.

I ordered two donuts which were stale and not at all fresh. The coffee had lots of pulp (Bleh). My group also got sandwiches which took the workers about 5-10 minutes to even start making while they chatted and did other costumer's orders. Once the sandwiches were done heating up, they were just greasy. Also, they were not made by the workers, just heated up.

I was looking forward to trying the Ube drinks, but they were unavailable. Sadly, the employee wasn’t friendly either.

The Boston Cream donut was amazing. The staff was friendly and helpful.

I didn’t even like donuts until I tried the Boston cream donut from Blackbird. Now I randomly crave donuts at 8 pm when they’ve already closed and I have to (impatiently) wait until the next morning. Anyway - these are the best, softest donuts I’ve ever had and you have to try them too. Plus the staff is super friendly and the coffee is great!

This place changed my mind about donuts. I have only ever thought they are okay until I tried Blackbird.

I've only been here twice but I loved it.

We were surprised to discover later that the first two donuts we got were vegan. I've had great vegan food before but desserts are often lacking. Not so with these donuts.

The lemon glazed donut was so tart and perfect. We also loved the chocolate mousse bismark. Of course not every flavor is mind blowing but the overall quality really is phenomenal. I love the variety of flavors and that these pastries are not way too sweet like most typical donuts I have had.

It's pricey, so take your time choosing.

Great donuts, terrible coffee

The customer service was horrible, the gentleman acted like we were interrupting his day by coming into the doughnut shop. The doughnuts themselves, Boston Cream & Apple Cider Glaze, were very bland and the dough was not good, average at best. I would not recommend this place if you’re in Boston.

Delicious simple doughnuts. A bit pricer than a chain but that is to be expected. Very small front area so if you're going in the morning you'll probably have to wait outside.

Blackbird donuts are some of my fav, but the flavors vary a lot in quality. The toffee is consistently really good. But the service here is not friendly. Even when I bring my 4yo who is excited to be at a donut place, staff are surprisingly unfriendly. Also, they are careless w how they put your donut in the bag. I love my donut and hate for the frosting /glaze to be gone. They could do better esp for the price.

Beware the donut scam. If you’re on the hunt for the best donuts in Boston, you might want to skip Blackbird Donuts. Despite its popularity and modern, inviting shops, the donuts themselves leave much to be desired.

Walking into any of their locations, you're greeted with a trendy atmosphere and the promise of unique donut varieties. However, once you get to the actual tasting, the experience tends fall flat. They're just not good donuts.
