Good place...?
View was amazing! Staff were very nice. They even held the boat for us. (GPS took us off the wrong exit.) Boat decent size. Drinks were not very strong, but the price made up for it. Bathrooms are small and awkwardly shaped. The view and company we came with made the ticket/trip worth it. I think I would have had a better time if I had some nips, and was about 10 years younger. If you are 20’s, like (far priced)weak drink, and like boats with a city view, this is for you.Didn’t hate it, but didn’t love it.Got good pictures!!

The Boatonian is a great idea that was not executed well. When my friend bought tickets but was not emailed a ticket or confirmation she called and spoke with someone who said we would be fine to board the night of our cruise. When we got there he remembered our phone call but because he didn't see any tickets under her name he wanted us to buy three more tickets. I showed him the phone number that I called and text FROM THEIR WEBSITE and he said he has never seen that number before and had know idea who the person was that had a "boatonian" voicemail. We politely refused to buy more tickets and asked him to search again and we were finally let on board.Once we got on the boat we could see that it has not been updated or renovated for some time and they were not selling snacks as promised on their website. The band that was playing was not very good and most certainly didn't play music geared towards the bachelorette parties on board- which was most of the people on the cruise. Most of the dancing done by everyone on board was done when the radio played while the band took breaks. My suggestion would be to find out the band playing and research them before buying a ticket. If the cruise had a DJ playing country hits it would have been a much more fun time. My friends and I made the best of the trip as we had another two and a half hours on the boat but I definitely will not be going on another cruise.
This cruise was an absolute rip off. 30 dollars and there was one bar for 300 people. On top of that it advertises music, yet the only place where music is playing is on the first floor inside. It totally defeats the purpose of being on a boat. I will not be going on another one of these.
I have been on several Boatonian cruises and loved them, we go every year for my friend's birthday party. Unfortunately this year I went on a "country cruise" where the band only played about 25% country music while the rest was classic rock... after my friends and I expressed our dissatisfaction, the owner informed us he agreed with us and offered all of the customers a FREE booze cruise. After a month of going back and forth via e-mail and calling several times, I never received a free ticket. Several days before the cruise I called to check the status of my request and was informed that "I would be getting it via my e-mail soon..." I am extremely disappointed and will not recommend this cruise to any of my friends. If you are promised something, you should follow through with your promise.
This was my first cruise with the Boatonian. Overall we had a great time! The music was a DJ and we were hoping for a band, but it turned out to be okay. One thing that needs to be improved is the bathroom situation. At one point in the night the dual sex restroom would not flush. One of the employees plunged the toilet and was successful. However, they really need someone to clean the restrooms halfway through the cruise. Hand sanitizer would be a great addition as well. I would plan to go back to the Boatonian again and hope these improvements are in place. Until next time!
I booked a corporate event to take my team of 30 people out to celebrate, we had a great time, the boat is very nice, quick service at the bar, DJ was great for TBT and what a view of the city! Also Matt made ordering 30 boarding passes and 100+ drink tickets super easy which was great!! will definitely book again!
A great experience absolutely worth the 20 dollar price. Bring a few friends and you will definitely have a blast. Just the sunset and view on the Thursday boat alone is worth it.
So this was by far the worst three hours of my life the inside of the boat smelled like rotten eggs the bartenders didn't know how to make any drinks and of course on top of that they had all bottom shelf liquors only about five different kinds mixed with oj or cranberry juice or soda if you are looking for a booze cruise go buy your favorite liquor and a raft as it will be a better experience then this was
