Mrs. K. swore she wasn’t a fan of New England clam chowder—at least, not after the disappointing bowl we had in Rhode Island two nights ago. I assured her Boston would deliver something better. And cheaper.

Sure enough, it did. We kicked off our walk through Quincy Market and spotted Boston & Maine Fish right near the entrance. Even better, there were a few stools open. I ordered a medium bowl of chowder, which came out fast—piping hot, with two spoons...
To start: I DID NOT EAT HERE (I don't eat seafood.) I basically was passing through and just kind of hanging out to pass the time...I had a couple of glasses of wine and got to chat with Matheus. He was kind, and indulged me in my silly conversation! I had a white wine and chips... and you have to sit there to drink, there is no sip-n-stroll kind of thing.
For a market stall food place, they do a good but slightly expensive job.
There is plenty of space to sit and relax in the market place. Lots of food stalls to choose from. We tried the chowder and lobster roll. About $45 but quite taster although if you are used to cuisine from the South such as New Orleans, you may want to bring some hot sauce 😉
