The clam chowder was very good overal, rich, creamy, and satisfying, though a bit too peppery for my taste. The service was excellent: quick, friendly, and attentive even when busy. A solid spot for a classic New England chowder experience.

Highly recommend the Lobster and corn chowda, it was excellent and was generous on the lobster.

The lobster roll special was okay for what the price was. It was everything that I was looking for in a roll — doused in butter, loaded roll of actual lobster, and a light bun. Still, for almost $60, always want more.

The clam chowder was pretty good, very filling, so I’d recommend getting the small.

Pink lemonade was too sweet and artificial tasting, couldn’t finish it.

The shop stuck out in the busy market — loved the sign design and the showcase of food. Finding a place to sit can be hard, just gotta keep an eye out.

They charged me 40$ for a lobster roll that has exactly 5 small pieces of lobster on a mini hot dog bun!!!! The pictures are false advertisement and when questions that’s it????! They smurked and said yup!!! Don’t go here there are soooooo many other places to order food from open your eyes watch the different lobster rolls coming out of the 5 seafood spots there any of them will be better than here! Complete rip off!!

The lobster roll was terrible. The lobster and bread did not taste fresh at all. There was an overwhelming flavor of rancid garlic.

After looking at the options in Quincy Hall, we decided The Boston Chowda Co was the best option. Super friendly staff and a relatively short wait. The roll was good, and the lobster mac and cheese was also good. We thought they forgot the lobster, but it was at the bottom and we just needed to stir it up.

This review pertains to the grocery store sale of their clam chowder. It used to be so much better. I just finished a bowl, and even 3 star is a stretch. It had WAY too many potatoes, barely ANY clams, and the potatoes were HARD. I'm surprised this passed quality control! Maybe it's better at the actual restaurant, but if they're going to put their name and logo on this chowder, think on! It used to be so much better.

What a shame…this place is the definition of false advertising. The lobster rolls are tiny, with barely any meat, and they taste very bland just like the flavor of the bread/garlic. The main issue is the quantity of lobster for the price. It’s a similar price to Neptune lobster ~$41-42, for maybe 1/5 of the lobster. See the photo with a lemon on top for reference.

The only redeeming factor is the clam chowder, which is still overpriced but at least has a robust and decent flavor. I would recommend skipping this place and trying other options in the city, unless you like wasting money.

New England Clam Chowder and crab cakes were the BEST. One thing I didn't like was that the market was so full there was no place to sit, relax and enjoy the food. The price was good though

Tried the lobster bisque, it was gritty and not fresh and overpriced... paid $14 for a small cup.

Souper good vibes here, guys were nice and we chatted a little even though it was busy. Soup was delicious, coming from a guy neon and raised in the PNW. It’s definitely different, so not as to my taste but it was still so good. Would highly recommend.
