Boston Sail Loft has a great location and a classic New England waterfront vibe, but the experience was fairly average overall. The food was decent — seafood options were fresh enough but nothing particularly memorable. Service was friendly yet a bit slow, especially when it got busy. The atmosphere has potential given the waterfront setting, but the interior feels a little worn. A good casual stop, but not a standout dining destination.
Clam chowder was the best I’ve ever tasted and the lobster roll for $40 was loaded and also tasted amazing. The fisherman’s fried platter was great though likely more appropriate for 3-4 people. The restaurant seems to have a lot of tables for 2 as we had no wait on a weekend. Next time I return, I’d probably get a lobster roll per person.
We had the opportunity to visit Boston and this place was recommended by Google Gemini and it did not disappoint. I tried the lobster roll and it was extremely delicious. The clam chowder was savory and hit the spot. The butter that came with the lobster roll was perfect and gave the lobster really great flavor. The appetizer that we got was also delicious.
