my qualm is my food was pretty lukewarm/tepid when it was served. we also got dumplings which were piping hot and fresh but for some reason, my noodles were just really cold. probably wouldn’t come again

The food was really good and the soup dumplings were soupy.
We got two different noodle bowls as well, the braised beef noodle soup with the chili oil was 10/10
The restaurant also uses QR codes to take your order so you can add more whenever you want!

A dumpling and noodle shop in Boston that offers authentic Chinese food. Cooking Xiao Xian is a good shop in Allston. They have around 13 types of dumplings to choose from and also specialize in a variety of noodle soups, dry noodles and xiao noodles (a popular street dish in northwestern China with thin wheat noodles and broth, vegetable chili oil and soy sauce).
