You must get a Florentine cannoli! The coconut cake was divine as well.

Came here after dinner from a recommendation from our server and it was delicious, the people behind the counter were so nice and made it a positive experience. We went on the Fourth of July so we expected it to be busy but the line moved fast and did not feel like a long wait. Great place with great people!

YUMMM - love the mini pastries, bread, everything so good here - hard to just go in and buy one thing - had to bring home some more items for the family - so good. Highly recommend!

We stopped here while walking through Boston on a recent trip there with our 3 kids. First, the entire staff was grouchy. No smiles and no greetings. There are no prices anywhere. Pretty sure you have to have them displayed. The few items we got totaled $31 and when I asked for a receipt, it was not itemized. Absolute worst tiramisu I have ever had. It was dry and chalky. Our son's cookie was very dry also. Not sure how they stay in business with so many other great choices around! Go somewhere else and spend your money!

Always a classic. Delicious deserts, love the fact that they are family owned. Friendly staff. Besides, who can beat being open for 24 hrs!

Found this place by luck. Tried it cuz of the good reviews and wow, the cannolis were amazing! Not too sweet like, just right. Also had the tiramisu, took a bite or two to like but it was good. Later tried Mike’s which was recommended by a friend, but nah... Bova’s was way better!

I highly recommend the Boston Crème.

Madonna! Il pane è fresco come se la Vergine Maria e lo Spirito Santo lo avessero sfornato loro stessi! Venite a gustare un po' di pane antico con 4 generazioni sulla kuzhina!

If you're in Boston and haven't been to Bova's Bakery yet, you're missing out on something special. All the locals rave about this place, and now I totally understand why. This is a true old-school Italian bakery with that authentic charm you just don't find everywhere anymore.

Bova's has definitely earned its reputation, and it's easy to see why it’s such a staple in the community. If you're in the North End, do yourself a favor and stop by.

Late post - visited in October 2024
I felt like a little kid in a candy shop. There were so many options to choose from. We got a variety and to be honest, everything we ordered was dry except for the cannoli. They were good as in flavor wise, but tasted days old.

Great calzones and a huge selection of pastries and baked goods to delight any taste. Right next door and across the street from other must stop places in the North end. down in the neighborhood a couple of minute walk from Mike's and modern, well worth the detour. It seems like in most of the North end establishments, you're there for the food not the friendly wait staff, so don't expect nice counter help with lots of patience, just know what you want. ::: update 12/31/24, place was super busy around 4:00 p.m. on New Year's Eve day, staff was helpful and pleasant.
