You need to be an employee to go in
The food is passable - standard Sysco fare. The coffee is straight garbage. Some of the staff are friendly. It's very cheap and in my office building so I'll keep going here.
Can't access the cafe if you're not an employee at the building.
Good selection and quality. Good local vendor representation. Coffee needs improvement - unsure if it is the machines or the method as the beans have changed over the years. Would be nice to have self service for entrees so as to cut down on lines.
First timer. Great prices for cheap eats. Omelet toast an coffee less than $5.00
For a cafeteria, they have 2 strong pluses: a constantly changing menu (with a few recurring favorites), and reasonable quality to their food. Plus the service is prompt and friendly. The biggest drawback is they don't believe in signs for some reason, so for example, you never know at the counters where to stand, where to order, where the waiting line is, etc. A few signs would go a long way in ending the daily chaos at lunch.
I work in the same building, its pretty great to be able to go downstairs and grab a quality meal at a decent price for lunch. They change the menu as much as a cafe can and a majority of the meals are solid.
