Good spot for Indian food in the neighborhood. The mulligatawny is good, very good naan and samosas. The entrees were also good.

This place is absolutely ridiculous. I placed a pickup order at 2:00 (Mind you, they don't close until 10), arrived here at 2:30, and the store is closed. I've called multiple times, tried emailing management, still nothing. Nor have I received a refund for the money I paid. Do not go here, its a scam. Now I've received a response with an apology yet no refund. Management and this place is terrible and clearly a scam as I never even got the money back.

It was easy to order online but this restaurant is closed. The doors are barred, the website is operational but the hours say CLOSED every day of the week, and my card was still charged, no one answers the phone.

Orderd veggie korma. The menu said it comes with rice and papadum. I was craving papadum so I ordered extra. Picked up the food, no papadum. Not even the one that it was suppose to come with . Of course I called back and no one picked up. Korma is bland and not spicy. Save your money and go elsewhere. Literally no one else was there and they had no other order to prepare and still got my order wrong.

First let me say that it saddens me to the core to write this review. I have been a regular customer of Bukhara in JP for close to 20 year and they by far have the best chicken tikka masala around. That said. In the last 5 years they have moved from a great location, increased prices and apparently lost the ability to satisfy even the simplest of orders. On the last 2 years, based on our kids' schedules our family used to get takeout EVERY Tuesday night. Of the 50+ orders I've placed in that time of 10 of them were correct. That's probably being generous. That includes a several-hundred dollar catering order where they forgot the RICE. Furthermore, they give the tiniest samples of chutney, tamarind, and mint sauce, to the point where I order extra papadams JUST to get the sauces and even then they don't give them out. When I've confronted them about this they have said on a few occasions that they can't. Meanwhile, the Indian place literally 2 doors down is just as good and loves nothing more than to give huge containers of condiments. After I ordered and received confirmation of my order tonight, I showed up with my kids in the car and they apparently had not received the order. They are also "out of papadams". How the heck does that happen? Since their takeout is through a third party app I've given up ever getting a refund for the 20+ order mistakes over the years, but the place next door had papadams for me in 2 minutes. Incredibly sorry to post this review. Still giving 2 stars because the food is excellent and the owner is very nice. Unfortunately the daily mismanagement is so horrendous I can't recommend to anyone who wants what they actually ordered with what should be free (or at least hassle-free) sauces. A very sad goodbye to my previously-favorite Indian restaurant.

This was a favorite restaurant for my wife and me when she lived in JP some years ago, and we hadn't been since we had kids and since it had moved. We were excited to introduce our son to Indian food, and - alas - something's changed. Dishes were very salty, the lamb and seekh kebab were leathery, the sauces were thin and without much to them (lamb gosht and chicken tikka masala), and from what we ordered only the the chana saag seemed worthwhile. The space hasn't much cheer, and the prices are still high. A nice and harried man waited on us, needed a reminder about water, didn't bring the regular chutneys around until we asked, and didn't seem to get our poori order (or did, but came out so slowly that the table after us got it). Also, they seemed to be out of lots of things - no lemonade nor sweet lassi (but they had mango lassi?) and the table next to us asked about coconut chutney, but no. I don't think we'll be back.

Went to their new location at Forest Hills and what a disappointment. To start, it's under new management. The new owners care less about customer service. I sat down and waited several minutes to get service. We placed the order and never received water. I asked twice for water. Food, was more sauce then meat. I will never go back to this location. To bad because this used to be my favorite spot. Don't waste your money everyone. Go elsewhere.

They never give u chutney that goes with rice or the papadum. They are cheap. No sauces. No utensils. Food is cold. They legit do not care what they serve u. The worst place to order. No raisins in the Naan bread that I ordered that comes with raisins. PLEASE DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. U WILL BE HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED. U HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!

Ordered delivery. They omitted two dishes from our order - apparently because they were out of them for the night (although one of the items was basic butter naan???) - without any attempt to contact us proactively to figure out a substitute or other solution. And of course, we were charged for the full amount until we called to ask where the rest of the order was. When we did call in, they offered a half-hearted apology / basically nothing more than confirmation that the order was indeed incorrect, and the bare minimum removal of charges for the food we never got, with no comps or any other form of acknowledgement of the inconvenience of waiting over an hour only to get half a meal.

The food was mediocre, not as good as it was in the prior location in Jamaica Plain. Also saw a lot of mice droppings on the windows sills.

This restaurant used to be good and even on a busy night I didn't have to wait too long to get takeout. I just arrived and after standing around while being ignored for a good 5 minutes with no one in here but me, the guy finally talked to me. I gave my name and he proceeded to tell me they had a problem with the computer and he didn't put the hand written order through to the kitchen. The computer not working is unfortunate but understandable. The not putting the hand written order in until 40 minutes later and only because I showed up is ridiculous. Not sure I'll come here again. And will warn others not to as well.

Ordered delivery of cheese pakoras, vegetable pakoras and aloo tikki along with a mango lassi. I received vegetable samosa instead of pakora and just two cheese pakoras. They were also cold and these are supposed to be served hot. Luckily got a refund thru grub hub. Never will order again.

Food is fine. Lamb hakka noodles were over cooked, had no lamb but did have an old bit of Saran Wrap

Great tasting food. A little greasy, but I just skim it off. The main negative is the price. $19 for goat curry? They need to lower their prices some. Sometimes ordering through uber eats is cheaper than ordering through them directly and it gets delivered. I always get takeout and I order online which is easy and convenient. I'll still order from them, but not often since it's so expensive. Maybe just for date night or something.

Please Open up your takeout and check your order. I ordered Tandoori Seafood Masala. I received a few pieces of seafood with lots of sauce. Not even a piece of fish. For price I definitely didn't get my money's worth. When I tried to call the restaurant, of course no one answers. Haven't been here in a while, now I remember why.
