You know when you're starving and everything tastes good to you? Like you could literally eat the rubber sole off a shoe, and it'd taste delicious... well, honestly I expected more from this restaurant. The house special- chicken and waffles was wildly disappointing and the breaded/fried ratio to meat was way off. I wish I experienced the hype that the current reviews give off!

I had a fantastic time here! The hospitality was great, the food was excellent, and the atmosphere delivered a very Southern feel, particularly because of the music choices which were big band and Dixieland type of tunes. I also had fantastic company, and that counts for a lot of the experience, in my view.

Everything I hoped it would be. The biscuits were amazing, especially with the smoked cinnamon butter. The chicken thighs were just perfectly cooked.

The good:- Service is awesome, very fast and attentive- The food if cooked really well, the texture is excellent - the baby back ribs just fell off the bone, the fried chicken was crispy and tender white on the inside- the Biscuits were some of the best I’ve had, savory, crispy, perfectly cooked and melting in your mouth- the drinks were decent, I’d stay away from the mimosas (weak and bland) but the cocktails are worth tryingThe bad:- the flavors were really off for everything else- the baby back ribs has way too much and really strong blue cheese. It overpowered everything, it was just strongly sour and I couldn’t taste anything else. Even the coleslaw was tasteless in comparison. Lacked any additional sauces for flavoring- The waffles were soft n soggy with no flavor again- the fried chicken was lacking the southern flavor, just bland as best. The bbq sauce was super tangy and thin. It actually ruined whatever flavor the chicken had- the alligator fries was actually good except for the alligator meat which didn’t taste anything like what you would find in Louisiana or the southern states- the Beignets were decent, nicely powered and crispy but the chocolate wasn’t upto the mark and ruined it unfortunately

The food was good, but not worth the terrible service. It seemed like it was everyone’s first day. Didn’t get coffee until halfway through the meal, and the server was extremely inattentive. Lots of great restaurants in boston. Skip this one.

Cute place with southern style cooking was very accommodating for our vegetarian. They were able to take the brisket out of the Mac and cheese. Burrata can be ordered without ham. Carrots salad was delicious too!

The chicken and biscuits were very good and I loved the drink I got, it was tropical with a cinnamon sugar rim! We did have to wait quite a while after our reservation time because our table wasn’t ready but they made it up to us by giving us a free desert :)

Everything was delicious; tapas style, split many things amongst a table of 9. Amazing fried chicken, very well breaded calamari, incredible hashbrowns & the beignets was so good just w the powdered sugar. The drinks were very well-balanced as well

This place was really good, the honey biscuits are amazing. The wagyu sliders were good but nothing amazing or it’s not a must try. Overall it’s an amazing place to visit when in Boston.

Made a dinner reservation and had a wonderful experience here. Despite the small table and somewhat cramped interior the food was excellent! Fried chicken thighs were some of the best we’ve ever had. The roasted carrot salad was cold and delightful! What a surprise. Shrimp and grits were also so flavorful. Cocktails were also on point. Just about every plate was a joy and we will definitely be back!!
