We went to Cafe Landwer for lunch with old friends. It was not crowded and the service was quick and efficient. All of us are vegetarians and were spoilt for choice. The mezza platter and the Mediterranean fattoush salad were both excellent - as were the knafeh and the mango perfume we had for dessert.

Homey restaurant in a nice location. Interesting food & drink choices served promptly and well presented. Really nothing bad to say about Cafe Landwer - Cleveland Circle. We always go whenever we are in the area.

My experience on Sunday May 18 at Cafe Landwer Cleveland Circle was outsanding in every respect but one: It was uncomfortable hot, despite outdoor temperature in the low 60's. Food, value, service and ambience are exceptional but despite light clothing, I felt excessive ambient heat throughout the meal. I recall an even more severe temperature issue at the Beacon St. location in the summer of 2024. Outdoor seating is a wonderful option at both locations, though on especially hot summer days, not so much. Cafe Landwer stands out as the only restaurant in greater Boston I have experienced without air conditioning. PLEASE, inform management that everything else at Landwer being so very very good, and business always seems to be booming, to strongly consider air conditioning your restaurants. As for last night, I encourage leadership to retain HVAC expertise to assess why the Cleveland Circle location was so warm despite cool outdoor weather. Also, a huge complement to the hostess and my server, though I did not see either of their names, perhaps I should have been more observant. My reservation was at 6:45 Sunday May 18 Thank you very much! I would be pleased to discuss these issues with you at the phone number indicated or to receive a reply via email John Glazer

Cafe Landwer has a wide selection of mediterranean and middle eastern dishes. Great starters, salads or meat dishes, you can find what you like. Highly recommend

The menu is excellent , we went for breakfast -- great variety of Turkish/middle eastern dishes, and they are delicious. Also a wide variety of coffees - I had a very nice Turkish coffee.

It's unfortunate when an interaction with the manager taints your experience. There was confusion able the total number of guests we had because there was an infant. The manager walked up to me with immediate attitude before having even spoken to me. They had us at a table that could have fit a high chair or addition chair at the end as it was in front of a column but would not allow us to up one there. So instead we were crammed into the booth side with the infancy car seat. Regardless of where the failure in communication happened, there was absolutely no reason to start off our dining experience with rudeness, attitude and inflexibility. It unfortunately tainted the experience and will not make us returning customers at this location.

Very, very good food. My server was super patient as I asked about preparations and his suggestions. He was knowledgeable and I truly felt he wanted me to have exactly what I wanted. The meal was delicious and the bread that they serve prior was fresh and warm. I left with a shopping bag of leftovers that I will surely enjoy.

Friendly and accommodating staff. The complimentary garlic flatbread was delicious as were the labneh salad and chicken schwarma pita sandwich. I've been to this location a couple of times and the food has always been great, with enough variety and options for anyone. I would highly recommend this place for groups, small groups, families, even solo diners.

I love Cafe Landwer for brunch. I've been here many times and the middle eastern breakfast specials are outrageously good. I tried the vegan breakfast special on my most recent trip and it was out of this world. And the quantity of food was really impressive. Good coffee also.

Got the vegan meatball sandwich - 10/10 I had to doublecheck to make sure the meatballs weren’t real. It tasted like real meat! Best moist pita bread in the whole world. Mediterranean energy shake - Sweetened with dates so it tasted sweet, but not in an artificial way. Also 10/10! The tahini gives it a tad of a sweet n salty vibe Great place to bring non-vegans if you want to convince them that vegan meatballs can taste the same!
