One of my late-night latte regulars
Not many cafés open late in the city (outside of places like Jaho or Dunkin). Caffe Bene is a Korean chain I used to visit back in middle school in Seoul, and even though the menu looks completely different now, there’s still a bit of nostalgia walking in.
I usually go for the strawberry latte or the misutgaru latte. Both are closer to smoothies than traditional lattes, but they’re satisfying in that dessert-drink way. Sweet, thick, and easy to sip on while lingering for a while.
The food side was just ok (except for bingsu). The Strawberry cheesecake tasted like it was liberated from a grocery store freezer and then held for ransom at a premium price. So skip the snacks, grab a “latte”, and soak in the chaotic, vibrant energy of a thousand BU and Northeastern students cramming for exams.

Nothing but praise for the quality and the selection. Beautiful spacious hard wood lobby.
I simply don’t understand why the chairs are wider than the tables. You have to rearrange furniture just to get in, and then lean over on the edge of a hard wooden chair the whole time - an ergonomic disaster.

I’ve had great experiences for a while but this was a first from this place.
Went to order an Asian shrimp sandwich with no cheese. Lady said that sandwich doesn’t have cheese and I pointed at the menu which clearly stated it did and said as long as it doesn’t have cheese. Then she goes to repeat the order stating no cheese also and I said correct no cheese.
What do I get? Cheese. Nothing makes my blood boil when stressing the importance of dietary restriction has been made prominent throughout the interaction.

Their hours fluctuate so much in the winter time. I was there twice over the past couple weeks and they were closed without any notice (on google, it said they were open both of those times). Please either update the google hours accordingly or please inform the customers about the hour changes on instagram or any other social media platforms. I think it's unacceptable when people drive/commute there and realize the store is closed.
wifi doesn't work.

The matcha was not good at all. It was so powdery, didn’t blend. Couldn’t even have a bit. The person working there said matcha is little earthy and didn’t do anything about it.
But no I’ve had matcha at every other place but this was bizarre
This is the photo after 1 hr looks powdery

I had the best service ever from an employee named Erie, she is a gem. She really went above and beyond to help us. The food was delicious as well. This place is definitely recommended, though serving sizes are very large.

The thickest and best iced latte I've ever had, I don't know if it was the actual brew or the oat milk or the combination but I will never be able to copy their technique unfortunately, so my home coffee tasted kinda sad this morning. Also I like the sizes, the medium was perfect.
