This is new; cafe Nero charging an extra 0.30 because I have asked for a glass rather than paper cup! Hummmm so rather than charging extra for using paper cups because recycling and costs more money; they charge for glasses that can be reused and washed 🤔🤔🤔.
In Massachusetts, restaurants and other eating establishments can't charge a minimum charge or cover charge unless they post a sign at the entrance. The sign must state the amount of the charge in letters at least one inch tall. Children under 13 are exempt from minimum charges; no signs is being posted.

A nice and cozy place to go to study, read a book, have coffee and snacks. The regular sized hot apple cider was a decent price and they had many selections on their sandwich and bakery items. The music was a little loud but the place was also packed with students studying. There’s no charging ports at most of the desks, so it’s more ideal for a quick study session or a short break. Staff were friendly and quick with the drinks and food.

I'm only writing this review to thank the sweet barista who served me:
I love coming in here to work when i'm in the neighborhood, maybe once a month. I came in during the lunch rush and the place was packed. I was looking over the pastry counters trying to decide what to have with my coffee (would recommend a madeleine but ask for it to be heated up. makes it even better). And I could see the moment one of the baristas realized she had messed up: she had added whole milk to a latte when the customer had asked for skim milk. She immediately whipped up a replacement and kept the line moving (there was only one other barista despite how busy it was). She then looked back at the whole milk latte and looked to see if anyone had just ordered one or if she'd have to toss it. I made eye contact with her and told her that i'd have it if no one else had ordered it, was gonna order a latte anyway and don't care about the type of milk, i just don't like wasting food. She asked me if i'm sure that i don't have to. I told her i was. I made it to the cashier and she handed me my warm madeleine and coffee but refused to charge me for the coffee (the manager was right next to her too). Said it would have been trashed anyway and they were happy to just give it to me.
Lesson of the day: be kind to baristas and servers and don't waste food if you can. I mainly drink oat milk and soy milk for climate change reasons, but it would have been worse for the climate to just toss that whole milk latte and ask for an oat milk one than just having what was already made.
And try to be kind people. Sometimes they'll surprise you and be kind back.

Food and drinks are mid but never felt the need to leave a review until today. One of the employees kept hocking up phlegm (making horrible gargling spit noises) for the entire afternoon that was clearly audible through the entire cafe. It was absolutely disgusting. Makes me question the hygiene of the whole operation

I went to buy two hot chocolates to spend time with my sister and from the beginning the person who served me was rude to me, she gave me a hot one which was mine and my sister's was cold, which surprised me because the chocolate is very delicious here, but unfortunately this time it was not like that.
I'm just saying that if you're going through a bad time, it's better to ask for the day off and don't be rude to people who just want to have a good time. ?
Thank you for actually being open in the early morning!

I think I found the cafe I was looking for! The environment, work desks, coffee and food are all very good. A cafe to come to work. I worked for about 5 hours and there was nothing disturbing, such as music, tables and chairs etc. I'm so glad I found a place to come again.

There is an employee there most of the time when I go (I’m assuming the store manager) who is always the BEST. He’s super nice and welcomes you with a warm greeting no matter how early. He’s quick too. Impressed with the employees who deal with constant school crowds/rushes with usually only 1-2 baristas on the floor.
