Stopped in at 2:30 and got an outside table. The hostess greeted us warmly and asked if our table was ok (it was). The waiter may have been new, but was fairly curt throughout the service. My wife ordered the twin filets (filet medalions). The mashed potatoes were delicious; the filets were well done instead of medium, and tasted bland and unseasoned. My wife pointed this out to the waiter who half heartedly said "I suppose I could ask the chef if he could heat up another" my wife declined. I had the prix fixe bolongese; it was one of the best I've had, and came with a nice Ceasar salad. Mine was all good.
The sandwich was fresh and delicious.
It seems as if place was designed to be super loud. It caters to super pretentious (definitely not foodies) clientele. The food at best is very mediocre and the restaurant is run like a very expensive assembly line/circus. The whole experience was a really bad show. Good martinis - but we will not go there again, at least not to eat.
