Fantastic fried chicken at an affordable price. Casual and quick. Perfect for lunch or takeout. I’ve been looking for a fried chicken spot that knows how to make a crispy wing ever since another one of my Chinatown favorites closes down. This place is fantastic. While the “spicy” fried chicken is not particularly spicy, it has a pleasant flavor. They also aren’t cheap on serving sizes. These are true full chicken wings, not cut in half. The serving of 8 wings is definitely enough for one adult. If you order to-go, the take out bags are surprisingly high-quality as well. They will not rip, and certainly warrant a re-use. Service is friendly and I have nothing bad to say about this place.Photos represent food after I had already eaten some, so serving size is slightly larger than what you see.

Their chicken is soooo good! I would also recommend the egg waffles and the Taiwan-style sausages, which are sweet and salty.

Cha Kung Fong is tucked away near Tufts Medical Center in Chinatown. Parking in Chinatown is usually difficult, but that street is usually my go-to, so it made sense for me to check out this place (also because I can never pass up on boba). The inside is pretty spacious and usually empty. I've been here twice and have tried the popcorn chicken, iced classic milk tea with boba, and hot taro milk tea. The popcorn chicken was pretty good, but the portion size was small for the price, compared to that of Moon Flower House down the street. There was nothing special about the classic milk tea, but I really liked the boba when I had it because it was freshly made, soft, and sweet. I'm not sure if it is consistently like that, but when it's good, it's good. The taro milk tea, however, was a big miss. It tasted very much like powdered taro, and I regretted buying it.

Stopped by for their Taiwanese fried chicken, which is definitely better than their counterparts around Chinatown. Would recommend the seaweed flavor, which adds a great savoriness aspect to the crispy, juicy chicken pieces. There is plenty of seating and service was very quick. They change their decor with the season.

One of my favorite boba shops around Boston! I go here every time I go to Chinatown haha. My go-to drink is their rose milk tea with sweet QQ jelly (basically it's white pearls). My husband also loves their classic black milk tea with brown sugar boba. Their boba is chewy and perfectly cooked (not under or over cooked). I've also tried their mango coco sago and strawberry smoothie, and both are decently good and refreshing, but I would definitely prefer their milk teas over these fruit smoothies. The service is quick and will answer your questions if you have any. All in all, great place to hang with friends -- lots of seating!

Takoyaki tasted like the real deal. Tea a bit sweet for me, but my son liked it.

I swear this place has the best oolong milk tea with bubble in all of Boston. I get mine with 30% sugar and they always make it perfectly. I’ve been coming here consistently since its close to school. The tapioca is always perfectly chewy and the milk tea tastes fresh. The popcorn chicken w the spicy topping is great too. I havent had a single bad order from here. The atmosphere is clean and chill. Music is a little too loud for studying here so it’s more of a spot to eat and chill/talk. I come here way too often. The food takes a bit of time to make but the tea comes out fast. Would recommend if you need a pick me up. Only thing that’s missing is a loyalty points card punch out system. Amazing, hope it never runs out of business bc its my favorite spot. ??

This fried chicken is legit. Out of this world. The flavors and textures are beyond! Fries were great too. I loved my iced peach oolong with cheese foam, too. (Ever try cheese foam? It's awesome, get it). I will definitely be back here the next time I come to Chinatown.
