Very flavorful with the right textures. Errthing.
Tasty food. Expensive prices.
Dirty, lazy employees, so long time coming
Ordered from UberEats last night and found a piece of staple in my al pastor taco. It was in the meat when I took a bite felt something poke me luckily no injury. Disregarded my tacos after that didn’t feel safe to continue eating and going forward. Reported it to uber but nothing yet. Be careful & check your food. Oh they also forgot the three passion fruit drinks I ordered
I LOVE Chilacates. No matter what you get here, you will be happy and satisfied I got the Al Pastor Burrito and the Elote Corn on the Cob this time and I highly recommend
Tacos, burritos & bowls. The food is really good and fast service.
Feeling Terrible – Back Bay is Still Better
I ordered birria quesadillas online, thinking I was getting the real thing, but the menu names were so confusing that I ended up with something different. When I went to the store to ask for help, they basically blamed me for ordering the wrong thing and refused to fix it because they “would lose money.” I wasn’t expecting a free meal—just a little customer service.
Now, to be fair, the food itself was good, but it still wasn’t worth $20. The meat wasn’t spread out well, and there were way too many globs of cheese. It could have been put together better, but the flavor was solid. Good, but not to die for like Back Bay. I guess I appreciated that they gave me a side of consomé when I drove all the way there, but still—help me out.
That said, I still wouldn’t come back. Between the poor customer service and the confusing menu names—seriously, why wouldn’t “birria quesadilla” be the right name instead of “quesobirria”?—it’s not worth it. If you want good food and good service, just go to the Back Bay location instead.
Very messy torta for the price

It might be the best Mexican food in JP but it doesn't mean much. Unfortunately this place didn't live up to the early expectations and instead went quantity over quality. It is a chain now so you try the food at many locations.

Really good food is a good stop for a Mexican meal. The servers felt a little pushy and controlling. Portions were small and pricey.

I got the Birria tacos with extra cheese but it didn’t look like they added much. Next time I’ll get the cheese on the side and add it myself. Nonetheless very yummy and filling portions

Went for dinner with my wife. We are both big fans of lengua (don't knock it until you try it) so my wife had to order the torta lengua. I was craving rice and beans with my main dish so I ordered the chicken enchiladas.
They both were ready in mere minutes as the kitchen staff were starting to prepare our food as we were ordering. The lengua was tender and the bread was soft but had the strength to not fall apart after 2 bites. The vegetables were fresh. My chicken enchiladas were pretty good as well. The chicken and corn tortillas were amazing. That whole side of the plate with the cream, chicken, avacado, corn casing were exceptional. However the rice and beans were lazily bland and a bit watery. I ate the whole plate it was just sad that the main was exceptional, yet the side couldn't follow the main's lead.
Lastly, I ordered a horchata for my wife as we strolled home. My wife had no complaints, but the drink had a tad too heavy of star anise for my taste.
This place is a JP staple that I enjoy, there are just a few things, which I mentioned, that could be fixed to easily make this a 5/5 establishment.
