The service used to be okay but it isn't anymore. You ask for things like hot sauce and guacamole in your online order. There is like a tiny spot of guacamole (about 1/10th of what you would get at Chipotle) and no hot sauce. It happened to me twice already so it's not a mistake, it's by design.
The food? It was never great. It is still isn't. It was convenient. But every time now is a disappointment. And it isn't cheap either. Two burritos with tip will cost you $35-40

I’m starting to think places up here close 30 min before it’s they are supposed to. This place wouldn’t let us eat in the restaurant because he said they were closing in 20 min. So we are eating tacos in the car across the street. This is annoying and I never heard of this before I moved to Boston. Why say you close at 10 but you kick people out the restaurant at 9:40. But at least they didn’t turn the lights out on us like the last place I did a review. That was worst.

Very good birria tacos! Also delicious hot sauces that taste homemade
My delivery order was taken to another city by an Uber eats driver and they were of no assistance trying to either refund my money or deliver a new order to me.
Literally no taste at all. I’m not even biggest fan of chipotle and even that has more taste then this meal I just had
Consistently over on time. They’ll accept your orders then cancel them after an hour. It shouldn’t take more than 30 minutes to make a burrito. DO NOT ORDER HERE.

The food is so salty I couldn't eat it and I love salt There are many other spices you could be using.
The food is actually pretty good. They only have one rice option, which is Mexican. Nice to have fish as a protein. There’s a bit of a language barrier with the staff, so it’s a challenge to get any questions answered. Would be nice if they would give you utensils when you’re taking it to go.

Whenever I'm visiting Distraction Brewing, driving through Roslindale or this time, checking out the Substation Beer Hall, I always stop at Chilacates for some great Mexican food!
I find myself getting the same thing because it's *that* good: Al Pastor Bowl add: jalapeños, sour cream and maduros!
Can't forget to add a bag of their homemade chips too!

Chilacates used to be a reliable burrito place with a few locations in Boston. Recently I've noticed they will not put on all the ingredients that are listed for their burritos unless you ask, at which point they will charge extra for an add-on. This is specifically for cheese and pico which are listed as included.

The food had gas station levels of preparation and was just overrall bland and unremarkable. i have seldom stopped in the middle of my meal and had to stop bc the food tasted so foul.I didn’t know it was possible to feel this amount of disappointment after eating but i can confidently say this is the worst tex mex place i have been to so far. salsa was equally as horrendous
