The tacos were 🔥 and I loved the tamale. I liked that the al pastor taco had warm chucks of pineapple. The shredded radish on top gave the tacos a refreshing taste. Would definitely go back.

Wish I could rate higher because when they get it right, the food is delicious, but half the time I order (either online or in person, doesn’t matter) I receive an order with incorrect ingredients in my burrito. Frustrating!
Fantastic food, service, and music!

My wife and I were staying about 10 minutes away, and we wanted to get some great Mexican food without breaking the bank at lunchtime. Chilacates advertises as Mexican street food, and we were delighted at the authenticity of our meals! My wife had a taco bowl with chicken, and I had the taco plate with steak. Both were just flavor explosions in our mouths. This restaurant is highly recommended for great Mexican food at a great price!

This place is so inconsistent which shows they don’t really care about the quality.
It can be good one day but there have been multiple times I’ve ordered and the meats are super dry and overcooked. They would rather get rid of what they have even if it’s old and flavorless then make something fresh for you.
The tamales are steamed again with so much water and moisture that enter killing all flavor. I’m guessing they just leave them there until someone orders and they do this to get the tamales soft again….Terrible quality and it just shows they don’t care.
I love Mexican food and there was a time I thought this place was good but not anymore. You never know what you’re going to get when you come here. It’s either solid or terrible depending on what they’re trying to get rid of….

The prices are low and the food quality is SO high! I was blown away by the flavor in the chicken!
There is limited parking out front. Very friendly staff.
Lots of seating inside and out.
My meal was so filling I didn’t finish and it was only $12!

Came here recently and ordered a burrito bowl with chicken, rice, cheese. Overall, the food wasn’t bad, but there were a few things worth pointing out.
First, the sour cream was very watery. It still tasted like sour cream, but the texture was off. The biggest issue, however, was the chicken. My girlfriend took a bite and nearly choked on a bone, which I initially didn’t believe until I found a couple bones in mine too. Definitely something to be aware of not ideal for a burrito bowl.
The rice was actually really good, but the horchata was a major disappointment. I’ve had horchata my whole life, and this tasted nothing like it. It had a strong, spicy cinnamon flavor almost like Hot Tamales candy rather than the smooth, sweet cinnamon taste you’d expect. It was $4.50 and I couldn’t finish it after two sips. Even my girlfriend said it tasted spicy, which isn’t what horchata should be at all.
Not a terrible experience, but definitely some things that need improvement especially the bones in the chicken and the horchata recipe.

The staff is not friendly and most importantly the $16 Quesadilla were tasteless and not fresh.
