the chicken WAS INSANE. the pasta was pretty undercooked but the chicken and cheese and sauce made up for it. the dish was steaming and the texture of the cutlet was so interesting , like not rubbery but bOuncy??? also the meat wasn’t dry at all but quite tender, and it was laying under warm, copious layer of milky cheesy melted mozzarella that was super stringy and delicious. there was also a generous amount creamy , light vodka sauce soaking everything, making it a bit soggy and super comforting.

I went to Ciao Roma with my siblings during the evening. We didn’t make reservations but upon arriving the host made it seem like it was not doable, as I grabbed my phone to search another restaurant she than decided to sit as, as she apparently found one after i mentioned I was leaving. We were sat upstairs the I ordered the shrimp scampi and tbh it wasn’t that great the noodles were so hard. The waitress was very rude and I just felt overly rushed. However, the ambience is beautiful I can see why people would want to go there. Will definitely not recommend on my end. They need better customer service overall.

Nestled on a side street in the North End, Ciao Roma offers your classic Italian-American options in a beautifully decorated restaurant. While the food was good, the ambiance is beautiful, and the service was excellent, I’d argue that the prices of each plate are a little steep for the overall quality of the dining experience. If you aren’t careful, you can end up spending quite a bit of money for a regular plate of pasta with red sauce. My recommendation would be to come on Mondays (like my partner and I did) when they have their $59 dinner special. You get 1 appetizer to share, 2 entrees and 1 dessert! Now THAT is totally worth the money.

The food and service was top tier, the vibe and decor upstairs was a bit weird... Very confined space, sitting on top of other tables. You have to try the bruschetta appetizer, I think about it all the time!

Not worth your time - I had them remake my paste twice then finally asked for it to be taken off the meal. A friend tried the pasta both times and agreed. If an Italian restaurant cannot cook pasta properly then you should stay out of the food business. The first time it was hard and crunchy. The second time, the waiter suggested trying a different noodle which was kind so I went with rigatoni. I cannot recall a time I’ve had a pasta dish that wasn’t edible. The bolognese sauce had a nice flavor, I debated eating it with bread since I was that hungry but I did not.

I did try my friend’s clam dish that had a very spicy, unique flavor. I would recommend that over the bolognese.

It’s also loud, a table of three cannot hear one another well.

Absolute garbage service. Ordered delivery twice tonight. One time the driver ate my food and the other time he cancelled after 50 min. Don’t both trying to order delivery from this place.

We visited on a snowy Monday night to celebrate our anniversary and left disappointed. We arrived just before 8pm for a table of two and finally left after 10pm Key issues: - Minimal acknowledgment on arrival; no warmth or eye contact - Seated at a four-top table in the center of the dining room despite available intimate booths - Anniversary note handled awkwardly; menus were dropped off with glitter scattered on the table after the fact, which felt rushed and poorly thought out. Note, no one explained but the menu seemed the same, it just says Happy Anniversary at the header - Requested still tap water but were brought a bottled by the hostess instead - Nearly 20-minute wait to be greeted; server left without taking our food order and never brought a diet soda - 1 cab ordered for entree but server offered complimentary prosecco and assigned without asking, white would've paired better with anchovies/caesar and red with red sauce (also not ideal, as one of us doesn't like bubbles and the other was doing Dry January) - Long gaps between courses, empty water glasses, plates cleared individually - The other server noticed we needed assistance multiple times but never acknowledged us; later, the busser/food runner offered to box our food after seeing us waiting and making continuous eye contact - Extended wait to receive the check despite the restaurant not being busy and our dessert plate clear, water empty, and card on the table Overall, the service felt inattentive and disconnected. For an anniversary dinner, we expected a more thoughtful and attentive experience. The food was good though, perhaps sit at the bar!

Overall very good experience. Food is excellent, with homemade pastas and sauce reminiscent of home-cooked meal. Service was attentive. Tables for two are on the small side and there was not a lot of leg room, so I did feel cramped. Noice level a bit on the loud side, especially with tables close together. But the food is excellent.
