This is a good spot if you're in the Longwood Area and need nourishment before 11AM. After 11, there are so many options that make this place a non-factor. If you're at Brigham and don't want to travel, I suppose it's an alright choice. I do note some of the sanitary concerns that one reviewer expressed but I am pretty slovenly myself and just moved past the fact that they don't change out their gloves after handling their phone or the register. I also recognize that if we saw how most of our food was prepared, we would be vegans that ate exclusively at home. I got the pre-pacakged chickpea salad and the turkey pesto half-panini. The former had plenty of kick and might be off-putting to people who don't like too much spice. The turkey in turkey pesto is cold cuts and not grilled or roasted turkey but the price is okay, about $5-6. When you add up the taxes and tip, it was around $15. You can definitely get more for your money elsewhere in the area but great if you're in a pinch. But pretty darn good for a cafe in a hospital where the fare and atmosphere are usually bleaker.

When purchasing a sandwich staff switched off to cash me out, staff was still wearing her gloves and took my cash then went to take over other staff with making a sandwich. She started to touch the food and patron sandwich and I had to speak loudly to her 2 times to change your gloves..She looked at me like I was crazy. I said you just handled money and register and your about to touch food. The other staff told her to change gloves as she didn't understand English as well. We are living in a world of disease and this is how other illness happen..Patron thanked me for catching it because from her standpoint she could not see her food was about to be contaminated

10 min walk from MFA past ISG. Tucked just inside Brigham and Women's Hospital to the left. True to its name serving healthy simple foods. DH had Turkey club sub, and I enjoyed a brown rice black bean bowl with chicken, salsa, onion, a smidge of kale. Guacamole is extra, worth it. Very tasty with a little added salt, and just the right amount for a satisfying lunch break. Then back to Art of the Americas!

A good food option in a medical building?! YES! Sandwiches and salads made fresh right there. Great soups, REASONABLE PRICES, and a wonderful selection of tea and warm beverages with cold beverages to choose from in a cooler. Breakfast sandwiches too. Service with a smile. Here in Boston. No lie.

Relax, enjoyable

Ordered and bacon egg and cheese and it was very bland. It tasted like a boiled egg in bread. Presentation is nice and you can tell the quality of the food is fresh but that doesn't matter if it doesn't taste good

Overpriced, small portions.

I've been working at BWH for almost 5 years now and before this cafe opened up I would walk down the street to the Longwood Galleria foodcourt. This place is much more convenient, being downstairs from my office and all. Sandwiches are great, never really tried their wraps so I can't say much. Service is nice and they always greet with a smile.

I work next door and sometimes come around to Citra to get lunch. It is one of the more affordable joints around Longwood and the food here is healthier than that at the NRB by a long shot. The paninis (just under 7 bucks) are a good bet - I recommend the roast beef panini for its generous servings of meat and perfectly melted cheese. The breads used for the paninis are also very fresh and grilled just nice. The ingredients are of high quality and well worth the price. The soups are also relatively good, although at times, the vegetables in them might get so overcooked to the point of looking withered. Service is always prompt, friendly and courteous, which is great (especially when tips are not required)!
