Stopped in here for a quick meal and drinks. I had the Hugo's Delight and my friend had the smoke house wrap. The bartender was also the waitress and she handled the whole place with ease. I was incredibly impressed. It was pretty busy when we went. Old town Irish pub decor in a historic building. Super charming and authentic.
In from Galveston, TX with friends Martin & Pam. Maura & Grace always take care of us and today was no different. Had the chicken and fajita wraps but forgot to take pictures before we ate. We have going for here years and while it is a great local hang-out, it is certainly something everyone who likes a cozy bar will like. We visit every time we can when in Boston. Highly recommended.

The older woman working the bar was incredibly rude. From the moment we walked in until we left after one drink she was an absolute witch. Don’t throw your money away here!! A waste. Plenty of other better bars in the area.

We are tourists visiting from London 28 Sept daytime, the bartenders were so rude, clearly the poorest examples of hospitality and shameful representation of Faneuil Hall. Stay clear!

We walked quite a distance to try this place, we called to get a table and they didn't answer their phone. Got there at 8pm, website said open to midnight. Walked in and was told the restaurant was closed and bar was closing at 9pm. We were told we could not get food to go. They were very rude! We asked why it says open to midnight and she wouldn't answer. We went to another restaurant and was told that Clarke's closea whenever the manager feels like it.This is the worst customer service I have seen. If you aren't going to honor the posted times on your web site than Do Not Post those times. Obviously this place has no interest in serving the customer. I would strongly recommend anyone thinking of going here to forget it and select another place!
I would give this zero stars if I could.
The website said it was open until 12 am
We tried calling before we walked a great distance, no one answered. We thought it was busy because it was earlier when I walked by. When we got there at 8 pm, the employee told us the kitchen was closed and the bar was closing at 9 pm, even though the bar was really busy and the Patriots game was on tv. What a terrible way to run a business. We found another pace to eat, and when we mentioned Clarke's, we were told the manager closes whenever she wants
Again, terrible way to run a business. With all the other restuarants in the area, I would suggest not going to rhis place, who knows if it will be open
The bartender asked to see my ID and I dropped my wallet trying to pull it out of my pocket. She then said she would not serve us because we were too drunk. We had not even had anything to drink.

I walked in and went to quickly go to the bathroom before ordering (id rather not leave my food and drink unattended) and they wouldn’t let me, I said I was about to order as soon as I was done. So rude! I go in here all the time, first of all, and anyways like what if it was urgent? It’s unethical to refuse someone to use a restroom, we are all people with needs. also the place was empty and smelled weird.
I was gonna stay for a drink or 2 and maybe some food but changed my mind. This place was amazing a few years ago but idk if they have new ownership or management? But it’s gone way down hill. All the recent reviews are terrible.

We held a wedding reception at Clarke’s and it was amazing. The food was great, drinks were ice cold and the service was phenomenal. I highly recommend Clarke’s for anyone hosting a party or an event, or for a frosty beer after work. The absolute best!!

Disappointing establishment. Garbage service. Walked in to meet a friend to watch the end of the hockey game, the place has at least 20 people sitting at various tables, and they wouldn't let me sit down with my buddy because they're "closed". It was 9:30 on a Friday night and the door said they close at 10. This place is trash.

Don’t bother. Walked in for a beer. Asked if they had Sam Adams and she said “We don’t sell that here. Only tourist want that. Go to the Sam Adams brewery”. This was said in a very nasty way not as a nice recommendation. So rude. Little did you know that the other guy was from Boston. Born and raised. Learn some manners. .

Great little place at Fanuel Hall. Went in to escape from crazy crowds at Quincy Market. Was cozy and the servers were friendly and alert. The French fries were deliscous. Will go back!

Came in and sat down at a table waiting for someone to take our order. Within one minute, the bartender was mouthing something to us from across the bar. We couldn’t understand her so we asked for a minute while we sat down and took our coats off. She kept mouthing things and I finally got up and went to go see what she was saying. She said the bar was closing, it was 8:00 and the hours online say open until midnight. I asked if they were going to kick everyone else out then as well and she lied and said yes. Basically we didn’t order something within the first minute of being there so we were kicked out of the bar.

Ran into a miserable bar tender. Had to run to the bathroom before ordering, lady walked over to my buddy and snatched the menu from his hand and said if he wasn’t going to order anything then we had to go. Peace ✌?
