Comella's Restaurants West Roxbury

The food is very good, but the delivery is awful. Every time I order from here for delivery there is an issue. Even when I pre-ordered a day in advance for my son’s birthday the pizza showed up almost an hour late due to a “technical issue”. Tonight I ordered at 6:45 and now it’s after 8pm and my pizza is still not here. Update….the driver just delivered our food and it’s completely cold.

I was dying for a meatball sub. I wanted homemade with good sauce and good bread. I called in the order. When I arrived, the friendly gentleman behind the counter asked if I had ever had their meatballs before. After saying I hadn’t, he went to the kitchen and came out with a big meatball, hot, with sauce in a bowl and with a fork. I will say it was exactly what I was looking for. Tasty meatball and excellent sauce.
The sub tasted good, my only critique would be maybe some more meatballs in it, and the cheese wasn’t really melted. All things considered (taste, service, cleanliness), I will definitely be back. The guy was very friendly and hospitable. Didn’t catch his name.

Nice quick counter-serve italian. Simple but good food, but not really set up to be pleasant for eating in, especially in the winter (chilly unless you’re right next to the space heater, furniture is utilitarian rather than comfortable). We’ll be back for takeout, though, or maybe in the summer.

Eric up front is helpful and personable. Food has always been good from here, but it's better when staff are genuinely nice people.

I found myself in this nice little square in West Roxbury during one of my excursions. I'm a bit of a meatball snob and being a bit peckish, I decided to finally try Comella's meatballs. OMG 😲 So delicious! I can't wait to get home and eat the meatball sub that I purchased. I definitely will Uber Eats them next time that I order out.

My food wasn’t closed properly at all! So much that the uber driver had a field day with my fries!!! I call the store all he does is ask was the fries on the side of the bag! Like are you kidding me? No type of let me help you out for next time, nothing! The fact none of my food was sealed is a red flag, I’m all set!!!! Picture will be added!

I’m Getting MIXED vibes, $21 for vegan tortellini with tax, but it was $19 and I added $2 Broccoli and only Got 3 Pieces of broccoli. Not sure why they treat it like a MICRO bite sized side???

Horrified. Also the Fettuccine always says OUT of stock online. I Inquired with Cashier, she say They have NOT updated the system, she confirm it’s OUT of stock restaurant wide.

Quality for the price is sky high and my patronage will be shrinking.

The serving size of the sub is nice. And the sub bread was really good, compared to other places that tend to be hard and dry.

At 29 years old, I thought I had tasted the best life had to offer then this pasta happened. It’s like a culinary love letter wrapped in cheese and marinara. The flavors are so harmonious they could negotiate world peace. I will absolutely be coming back, because at this point, it’s less of a meal and more of a committed relationship.

My family has been coming to Comella’s for 15 years ever since it opened, and the spaghetti and meatballs from here have always been my favorite. I recently had the pizza again for the first time in about 5 years and it has improved a lot! The manager is also really nice— great family owned restaurant.

Have ordered out from here often. Have been going recently for ice cream which kids enjoy. They have a dairy free option which is vital due food allergies for one of my kids. Got a cookie today which were great...chewy and tasty.

Walking by leaving the post office and came upon this little restaurant friendly service met Eric maybe the manager had grilled chicken avocado wrap even came on wheat was excellent with the homemade sauce you can even get a meal to go with a beer for 20 dollars..great service great prices equals more visits from me ..and now they have ice cream ..try the blueberry pie 🥧
