Disappointing…
Celery Caesar over dressed and way too salty..
Meatballs blahhh…
Carbonara okay-ish…
Not a restaurant critic but not worth the hype…

While this restaurant appears among top Italian restaurants in Boston on several websites, it is very average and nothing exceptional for sure. It barely compares to italien Americans but falls very short of real Italians. Pasta with truffles have no truffle taste (may be they forgot to add), wine was oxidized and corky taste, tiramisu was like a chocolate cake (been a long time I have not had such a bad one). Importantly the service fell short of expectations. The waitress seemed more focused on chatting with certain patrons than attending to all customers equally. This led to delays in service and a lack of attentiveness. While friendliness is important, it should not come at the expense of professionalism and efficiency. I hope this feedback also helps improve future service consistency.

Emily, the manager, denied me service and was entirely disgustingly rude for the entire interaction. After spending over $500, and after being served many drinks, Emily suddenly decided that we were underage, while we clearly have valid forms of identification. This is an unruly establishment that desperately needs better management. Please fix this.

I ordered four items for takeout from Coppa’s website. When I arrived at the store, I gave them my name, and was immediately handed a bag of food. When I got home, none of the food in the bag was what I ordered. I called back twice that night, no one answered. I followed up the next day and spoke with the manager Madison who was condescending, rude and unhelpful when I was explaining the situation. I paid over $80 for the wrong food and there is no resolution or urgency to help their customers. they claim they can’t refund me because they use DoorDash as an online ordering platform and even though I placed my order through their website & picked my food up and it was not delivery, they say they cannot help me due to it being through a third-party. There’s no number or any information for me to contact DoorDash. and they claim they’re going to contact DoorDash, but said there’s no guarantee that I can actually be refunded. Even though they know they gave me the wrong food. Horrible service.

Small interior space with wonderful food! A block away from the Calderwood Performing Arts Center. It is a lovely spot for a meal before a show or to enjoy the vibrant neighborhood.

I’ve been here numerous times visiting Boston. Food has always been excellent. Small and busy place. I stopped by this evening and put my name on a wait list to sit at the bar (1 person). Estimated wOt time of 30-45 minutes. After an hour I inquired on the ETA. What I was not told before is that they were completely booked for the evening. That’s a basic and poor customer service error. If you actually do not have any space do not make me wait an hour. Still waiting to see if I will grab a seat. But I may leave and never return. Do better and be honest with your customers.

The meatballs, celery Caesar and our waiter were the saving graces of what might pass for quality in an airport, but in Boston, where there is so much good Italian food, this completely missed the mark. Pizza was at best underwhelming, more a bedecked flatbread; the dough was sorely under-risen and tough (closer to a large water cracker than a crust). I have heard such good things about Coppa, and am sad to have experienced such disappointing food quality. Skip this Boston hype-spot.

The restaurant has a nice charm. The pastas were wonderful and had a good portion size. The tiramisu with Nutella was an experiment that's not to my liking. The pastas are pricey for their size.

Great food with friendly service

Had soppressata, zucca and broccolini for three people. I really enjoyed soppeessata (pizza) which was savory with hint of sweetness from honey. Zucca was good-olive was a great kick that went well with the overall dish. Broccolini was my favorite; it was not too strong nor bland. Seasoned well with grinded cheese and spices.

I’ve been to Coppa quite a few times and their food and service has always been amazing. A bit overpriced, but everything is absolutely delicious. I’d highly recommend the truffle bucatini and sopressata pizza!

The service was good but I was surprised by the mediocre food. We ordered pizza, pasta, buratta, arancini and desserts. The pizza was mid. I’m told the pasta was overcooked. The buratta didn’t have much buratta but more sauce and lettuce. Arancini was very good. The tiramisu I ordered was not good - lots of Nutella and too rich. They should make a classic tiramisu.

Is every hostess on this street just rude to customers for the aesthetic? What is wrong with Boston...
