I called at 10. I asked what time they close. He told me 11. I'm a foodie... not a rookie. I arrived at 1046 pm. The bartender ask me what I want. I asked for a bacon cheeseburger. He was hesitant at first and then went to the kitchen. He comes back and tells me the kitchen is closed. Mind you the gentleman next to me has a full plate of food. I get it the place is not busy and the cook is ready to go home... but a phone call might give you a hint people might show up. Eventually the bartender said he's going to leave a review and my order went in... let's see how the burger comes out seeing he's not happy with me now... BRB.... burger came out it was cool. I asked for medium well.... it was well. The bacon is microwave bacon. But al least I got service. Thanks guys.

I see other reviews about Boston Burger on here, hence why we went to try the burger, do not waste your time or money. The burger, though cooked medium rare as asked, was hard and clearly over worked and most likely frozen then thawed to cook - a pink burger should not be that hard and gross! Toppings were decent on mine, near rock hard avocado on my wife’s burger, and all around disappointment from a food sense. Bar has been updated and nicer, chill dive bar vibe is decent.

Got a Sam Adams Octoberfest and an Allagash White. Both tasted great and the bartender had exceptional service. The place was very busy and ordering took a little bit, but it was more than understandable because of how many drink orders he had. Can't speak on the food; only had drinks when we stopped by.

Just had a quick dinner at Costello's yummy!! Had a veggie burger n cole slaw n 2 very delicious n potent dirty martinis .service was 5 star worthy...very friendly n courteous .will be back for sure .next time will take pictures..sorry forgot the name of our wonderful server was there 5pm sunday .awesome experience

This time everything was bad. Ambiance was terrible due to the loudest noise I have experienced in years. Waitress was indifferent and ignored requests for help.Took 35 minutes to get a burger. I ordered a rare burger and got one that was not only well done but burned to a crisp. Choked down half and left the rest. Miserable experience.

I lost 99% of my brain cells ordering here. I put Gluten-Free bun for my burger because they labeled a normal bun as a ‘deli roll’… I get my order and its a patty with cheese in a tin foil… I ask what happened they said they don’t have gluten free buns. I’d think the smart thing to do was either give me a normal bun, and/or let me know instead of me going home to tinfoil..

Might be the best burgers in the City, certainly in JP!Outstanding blend of meat cuts in the ground beef. Widest array of specialty burger fixings I have ever seen.Great beers - and coffee drinks (Iced). Service is friendly and quick.

Oh my Gawd !!! It's been 20 years since I been inside here. I see that Boston Burger Company took over the kitchen so I know it was all remodeled and what a delight. I started with the enormous super crispy onion rings !!! Then I got the Papi burger and it was just too good. It had a hotdog inside and I ate it separate ..... bcuz it was just too amazingThe vibe is great here and the bartender / server big smile and great service.
